One of the patron is demanding that I should drop other dramas and focused on asadoras. The reason asadoras rarely gets an update or when it does it's slow is because they are tedious and very hard to do than normal dramas. I tried so many things like doing an asadora month and nightly subbing but those don't work. During this pandemic, I have been subbing dramas from 8:00 AM to 3:00 AM on top of that, I have a freelance job.

So once again, I ask of you, please wait. I am subbing them as fast as I can but if you pressure me like that then I will stop subbing it all together.

As for the voting, yes to drop asadoras and no to continue subbing asadoras.

I'm personally getting so mad at people being pushy. They should be greatful for all the work you do. I've been a person being really sad about all the abandoned Asadora. When you miraculously revived them and gave most of us asadora addicts hope again, it was like a long-lasting dream come true. People should learn to be patient. Could you believe that i waited THREE ENTIRE YEARS for just one asadora to be continued? Everyone chill please. My request of Toritsu Mizushou hasn't gone past episode 1 - but I'm not making a fuzz about it.. and so should you all with the dorama you love please. Just be grateful Q.Q As a former fansubbing group leader things like this make me so mad :( So if said patron reads this - if you are not satisfied, please unsubscribe - thats how patreon works. Don't ruin it for everyone else. Thank you. The only suggestion i might have is maybe doing things one by one - just not everything the same time - that might already help with proceeding. But that is really up to you considering how you feel most comfortable balancing the workload.

I am a bit confused about the voting, the voting is to continue / drop the Asadoras or the normal doramas? O_O I am sorry I didn't understand the explanation :( However, in regards to the situation, I don't watch asadoras and I am only interested in normal dorama, so if the asadoras are tedious maybe it's better to do only normal dorama? What you feel happy to translate is the best :) And please don't feel pressured, I really appreciate your work and your amazing subs! thanks for the hard work always.

yes the voting is confusing - the patron says drop everything else; the voting system is a little ambiguous (at least at first). may i suggest you change to "Yes (Drop other dramas)" and "No (Continue other dramas)". I think you should do whatever suits you. If someone wants a priority they should offer some cash. Subbing is tedious work and so I avoid it and therefore appreciate all the kind folks who do it.

One of the reasons I've got into watching dramas/asadoras is to dive into Japan as part of my learning curve before going to the country. After watching 3 recently aired Asadoras (without subs of course) I've beginning to like each of them primarily Natsuzora and Yell. While Ochoyan is currently airing which features my favorite actress and following that with Okaeri Mone which also features my other favorite actress, I would want you to finish Ochoyan and the upcoming Asadoras in a normal time frame regardless and if you have other dramas to do I say take your time, don't listen to one person that dares to say: "Stop doing Asadoras because there wasting time!" I would be annoyed and rely on a broken live translation and make a blind guess on what happens. Also don't forget to rest regularly...

Scott Schulz

Yes, I'd say ignore any pressure and continue at your own rate - you're still faster than many other subbers at a couple weeks of the show per quarter. I joined your Patreon for the Yell subs, but I've absolutely enjoyed other shows you've subbed, and so count me as a thoroughly satisfied patreon.

Gonzalo Salgado

Don't worry, work at your own pace. A few years ago it was common to wait years to see an Asadora finished, comparing it to your current pace, it still seems like a great job.

Tom

Thanks for all the subbing you do. I'm just happy to be watching shows you've taken the time to sub. You should sub what you want imo. But, taking on too much can be difficult.

I’m so sorry that people are so demanding and ungrateful when you’re doing this for free and taking time out of your life to do this for fans. Subbing is a lot of work and people should be grateful that they even have dramas subbed, so many subbers leave because of entitled people and it’s one of the reason why there aren’t much dramas subbed. In the end do what’s best for yourself and you’ll have my full support.

People shouldn't be pushy, I agree with Aileen. Just do your thing, as you like and don

and don't mind the complainers...

if it is okay to comment, personally, i think you should drop the other asadoras except for ochoyan so that other subbers can work on it and you don't have to push yourself to work on them since you have a life to lead as well.

Quit whining. Do it yourself if you're so upset about it. The world does not revolve around you.

Luis

I think it's up to you, if you enjoy asadora (I do), and like to sub it, by all means continue. However it's better to concentrate on finishing one first, before moving on to sub other asadora, so at least we can finish watching one asadora rather than waiting indefinitely. Waiting for too long makes me lose interest in watching sometimes. Since now you are subbing a few asadoras, then maybe poll another voting on which one the patrons like to watch first or you can decide yourself. It will also be great if there is other subber who can continue your work co-subbing the other asadoras.

Luis

Cheers, I enjoy your work, high quality with the typesetting.

Rafe Thompson

I don't approve of people pressuring you, and I urge you to continue subbing asadora if it's rewarding for you. It's certainly rewarding for me. They're a cornerstone of Japanese television culture, and I really appreciate you doing them. But please feel free to shift your focus among the various dramas you're working on, rather than holding yourself to a rigid schedule. For example, I love "Kiken na Venus" but happily waited while you focused on other things temporarily.

Tom

actually, this is a really good idea. Asadoras are time consuming, so finishing one before working on the others would be good.

Tony Bui

You are the only person I know who is willing to sub Asadoras. I am pretty sure most of the other series that you are currently working on would have been picked up by someone else. Asadoras almost never get subbed. Even when Asadoras get subbed, it usually takes like 4+ years for the subs to be finished normally because they get dropped like 3+ times even when the subber is just transcribing from hardcoded subs.

Tony Bui

I can guarantee you that other subbers will not work the other Asadoras. Warotenka was 4+ years old. No one was willing to sub it until ECOTVSubs. Subbers will not pick up Asadoras. There are some Asadoras that have been "In Progress" for nearly 10 years. Anyway, I don't really care how long it takes ECOTVSubs to finish the Asadoras. I usually wait until the subs are complete before watching. I'm used to Asadora subs being dropped 5+ times before completion.

Sriya V

Yes, people shouldn't *pressure* on subbing. If you wish to do it and it's not rewarding for you then you don't have to do it!

Ian S

I echo all the others have said. The asadoras are amazing and probably the most difficult, so your efforts are appreciated. Simply, thank you. To have the asadoras you have started completed, if nothing else, would be truly amazing.
