Kouki always sleeps during class. His mother is a single mother who often came home late from work, and he spent his free time with no one at home, hanging out with his friends until midnight. Kouki also falls asleep in Takayanagi's class. Takayanagi gives Kouki a note with his phone number and asks him to call him at night. Puzzled, Kouki decides to call him... Takayanagi asks if his freedom is making him somewhat anxious, and tells him a quote from Kierkegaard.
