Ten and Tokichi left Semba, where Kitamura-ya was located, and moved to Tenma in downtown Osaka. Ten and the others move into a corner of a poor tenement house inhabited by unsuccessful entertainers such as Manjome and Keith and start looking for a theater to open an entertainment hall, but are unable to find one. Finally, they found an abandoned theater and asked Kamei, the former owner, to sell it to them, but he flatly refused. One night, Tokichi is summoned to Ririko's house and begs him to leave Ten and run away with her. When Ten hears the rumor, she is shocked.
