Week 12 of Scarlet.

New Year's Day arrives and Naoko comes home with her family. So, Joji showed her the telephone. Naoko is surprised by this. However, Kimiko heads to the company to help Hachiro with the pottery, missing out on the reunion.

Hachiro works hard on his pottery in order to win a prize at a pottery exhibition. However, Hachiro was also busy taking orders for coffee cups for the Ono coffee shop.

Kimiko was worried about Hachiro and watched him on New Year's as he made pottery. While Hachiro's creation is not going well, Kimiko has said to him. During the New Year vacation, they will make 20 coffee cups for Ono. Kimiko says she is worried because he has to work for the pottery exhibition and there is not enough time to do it.
