Kenta visits the hospital with Terumi and is told that his condition is already too late, and that night he tells Sae and Nami about his illness. While Sae encourages Kenta in tears, Nami cannot hide her bewildered expression, not knowing what to do. She then visits Kenta's brother, Kyoji, who is the temple priest, and asks him what she can do. Kyoji says, "You don't have to do anything. Live life to the fullest at this very moment, and find what you really want to do." Nami calls Kenta to ask him about something, and she tells him about the scar she got on her back when she was a child.
