I usually get quite a lot of praise about my cable management, but this is only for the show! I don't have a proper studio so most of the music-making happens on the couch, with my toys spread on some chairs and cables everywhere. When the night comes, I put "all the jacks in the boxes" and start over the next day.

While this is obviously not super comfortable, I found that it gives me the opportunity to try new things all the time. After each track, I push the reset button and start fresh!

I love the chaos. This is what a real creative process looks like. 😂

I've been slowly building a little loopstation of my own and am at a point where my pc's only function is to start the midi chain. I'd like to make the big step of cutting it out of the equation completely. I'd love to get a digitakt for that, but it's not in my budget. You know of any other hardware that can send midi commands to be a centerpeice?

Aldo

Hey, it really depends on what MIDI capabilities you need, if you just need MIDI clock and transport control, and maybe a few synths track, you could look into the Novation Circuit or the Model:Samples. If you need more, I don't think you get find something cheaper than the Digitakt unfortunately. :/

I'll look into those for sure. Clock and trasport control are all I need, so these are good recommendations. You've inspired me to take my pc out of the equation with these random jams. Cheers!
