I have no good excuse for why I'm postponing a chapter again this time. I can only apologize and promise to do better.

There are some things I could technically give as excuses, but I don't consider any of them good.

I am at least making good progress now, and I intend to be more intentional about planning good use of my Adderall time going forward. I'm sorry that I failed to do that sooner.

Reading new updates of other stories is not an activity that requires boosted focus, and I shouldn't indulge in it until after either writing is done or Adderall has worn off.

Next chapter should be either tomorrow or the day after, and I believe I can catch up for next Tuesday after that, but I thought that this time too, so we'll see.

Shigeru Miyamoto once said, "A delayed game may eventually be good, but a rushed game will be bad forever." Take all the time you need to make this next chapter good.

As someone who is also addicted to reading stories, generally dependent on adderall to get stuff done, and used to constantly push move my deadlines down the road — I recommend getting the Brick tile for phone and something similar to that for your computer. I set this up in the moments when I do have self control so that I can feel more focused and in control when I don’t. It’s saved me thousands of hours cause it can be set up in a way that is very difficult to bypass

Thanks for information. That alone is enough. And personally, I believe in better late and good, than now and shit. Take the time you need.

no worries.

What is the brick tile for phone?

Keegan

It’s an app that lets you disable other apps and you can only re-enable them by tapping your phone to the physical tile. https://getbrick.com/

I disable everything (including my web browser) except messaging and maps. You can also just download the app for free and block things without buying the physical tile, you just won’t be able to re-enable things once it’s “bricked”. For me it was either this or get a flip phone

This used to be true, but Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky comebacks have proved that it is *possible* for a rushed game to be repaired... In very rare circumstances when the devs actually care to

That's cool but unfortunately wouldn't work for me, for the same reason as the "reward yourself with a little treat for doing the thing" method doesn't work: I know the person in charge. They're a hedonist who doesn't like authority and is super happy to ignore rules whenever it's convenient.
