DEADLINE FOR FEEDBACK - Saturday 13th December 12PM UK TIMEReally excited about this video - all about the extreme ultraviolet photolithography machine from ASML!

A few animations need to be adjusted for timing, but other than that, the video is in the end stages.

Please be as critical as you'd like! Something wrong? Something confusing? Something lacking in depth or entirely missing? Let us know!Thank you so much!

Good topic, astonishing tech. Good summary at the end of the importance of being “unreasonable” in your expectations of what is possible. That is a powerful theme not just in this technology, but in any number of science advances where folks originally thought that the effects would never be testable due to the mind-boggling technological challenges. Best existing YouTube resource on ASML is Asianometry: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLKtxx9TnH76R3D0aXnw-IVVaA383XTfMv&si=_xrsrnliWYR56oe1

01:53 I object emphatically to "twenty times hotter" temperature cannot be "x times hotter" or "y times colder" it just does not work like that.

Praise: Fascinating episode. Loved the bit of philosophy at the end. Feedback: • 0:09 "... hundreds of kilometers of wires connecting everything ..." Is this hyperbole as part of comparing the chip to a "nanoscopic computing city" OR is it really hundreds of kilometers of wire. That's not clear to me • 0:41 ... a mention of Moore's Law without mentioning who Moore is seems a little bit of a gap. It's not actually a law like we expect in science, it was an observation made by Gordon Moore that seemed to fit the data. A clarification, even if just text on the screen, would be good to have.

2:55 Purification is done with the silicon which is not sand. Sand is first converted into silicon. 24:22 Slightly incorrect. The electron does not go a lower energy state, the whole ion does, and the difference is radiated. 28:13 The sinusoidal graph shown is unclear. What is on the axes? What does it represent? 32:06 Speeds at low density? What does that mean? Speed in a low pressure environment? 51:16 "The people who said it was impossible, they were right." That is a bold statement. They may have had a reasonable point of view, but now that the technology proved possible, they were, however, not right.

Hi, a fun video to watch. Suggest you make an executive summary video or a teaser for casual viewing, as a 53-minute video is time-consuming to watch. Some suggestions: 1. About 22:34 point into the video, you show a 20% number that makes the power source look like it's only producing 20% of the power. Clarify that the number as being 20% reflectivity. 2. 25:53 point, you state that turning off the magnetic field produces discharge plasma, which is how the sun produces light. I didn't know that the sun's magnetic field turns on and off??? Obviously, you're talking about a different process. 3. 37:59 point, what is a laser curtain? How is it made? 4. 46:49 point, reference 20 g's > Formula 1 race car. I would add the term acceleration.

Haha what is it with all the content creators I work with suddenly being interested in fab these days. Do you... Want to use the smallest Ve logos I made at the beginning to explain things? It's the same process, ish. Just a thought

(3/4) Audio: Note: Timestamps are based on on-screen timer (2-3sec behind Patreon video timer). @17:35 "Bell Labs partnered with ____" @26:21 "would get re-absorbed by the ____ xenon" New term? @22:19 "____ and ____ had already made mirrors" Having trouble hearing the names. Should we know them by this point? @32:31 "So ____ built a nervous system directly into the optics" Is this one of the researchers? @42:03 "So this is the first ____ machine" New term. What kind of machine? @46:14 "if the ____ mirrors were the size of Germany" New term. Is the name of a machine?
