Magy: "It's too peaceful." Truer words have never been spoken.

Rumpus Parable

Something that disgusts me about the show, and especially this opening episode.... but also in other sex scenes with them: I read the books after the show.... and Dany and Drogo's sex wasn’t violent or rape. Their first time together after the wedding where they make it look horrible for her? Nope! In the book it was consensual, she enjoyed it, and he asked her permission and she gave it in a VERY DIRECT way. The other scenes where it looks like she hates it is not because their sex is terrible and she’s unhappy - it’s because they ride horses all day for days and weeks and they are all used to it, but she’s not. So she is sore and stiff from the riding and Drogo and the others don’t understand that and they can’t speak to each other well enough for Dany to explain. In the books Drogo takes care to make sure she wants to have sex and it’s always consensual... but they made it look like rape because people would want to watch it more on TV.
