Wow those subtitles were so bad. Nearly everything was wrong. I can't imagine how you come across a copy of this movie with completely wrong English subtitles.

PTSD was and is a huge problem for soldiers in war and after it, We can't imagine the brutality they went through in WW1, WW2 and Vietnam. We evolved to be able to fight and kill enemy tribes as part of our evolutionary environment but it was not on the intensity and scale of modern warfare with weapons that shred and explode our friends regularly. I respect those who've fought and survived such hellscapes. Having said that, in every war there are child killings and rapes and there is ZERO excuse for that, so protesting those things that undeniably happened in Nam was understandable. Still they had no right to tar every soldier with the same brush.

Wars are always bad. No matter whether in Vietnam, the First World War or the Second World War. It should also not be forgotten that every soldier has to follow orders. Of course, that doesn't justify all the deaths or what was done to people. Nevertheless, soldiers are only human and they have all seen bad things. I don't think the soldiers in World War II enjoyed what they did. This leaves traces that will never go away. I knew many who were deployed in Iraq and they never recovered from it.

The advancements in technology give a false illusion we have evolved more than we have. Tools, what separates us from the animals may ironically lead to a mass extinction of humankind as A.I. takes over.
