Ben you should go to jumbo’s clown room it’s super straight and an iconic LA spot for straights. Also go to Canter’s deli for a nice reminder of what life was like when New York producers needed a place to get a pastrami sandwich away from home circa 1987 food, (owned/cooked by a nice Mexican family so high quality) . If Hesse’s coming there’s lots of old movie houses and rotting old western sets on trails in the outer valley. if you have an Asian friends ask for a good pool hall recommendation where you can drink and play pool those are fun and there’s usually no white people there so immaculate vibes. And maybe Clifton’s? If you want to feel like you’re having a nightmare and really strong fruity drinks if you have nothing else to do? Idk but have fun! I’ve work as a parking lot attendant. I toil in rain sleet and snow to bring carts from the lot back to the vestibule. Ben, I understand that certain customers take far too much space, but everyone will get a cart eventually. Parking lots bring out the worst humanity has to offer, and maintaining civility is far more important than maintaining efficiency. I think a simple solution would be to bring your own basket, or even just a reusable shopping bag, to gather/carry your groceries to and fro the store. Americans are conditioned to the utility of shopping carts for small batches of groceries. In my ideal world, carts would be reserved for excessively large batches, the elderly and the impaired.

You guys need to go to the redondo beach pier!!!! It’s where all the locals go to fish and hang out and it’s where they shot a lot of The OC lol. Go to old Tony’s when you’re there EDIT ok I have 2 more recs: - santee alley/fashion district for clothes/day drinking/hanging out - angels flight!!! It’s a funicular!! It’s in downtown and it has a fatal accident like once a decade so there’s always a thrilling sense of danger when you ride it

wi spa, sur/tomom for the experience but tbh the Ariana+Katie sandwich shop clears, watch a movie at the new beverly or braindead studios, thrifting/2nd hand shopping on melrose (wasteland!), LACMA, larchmont village, boardners in hollywood for drinks + fun goth themed nights... also dont be scared of the busses/metro they are your friends. have fun in LA :)

My theory is that people’s willingness (or lack thereof) to move out of the way of others (or just be conscious of how and where they position their body in space) is a class signifier. Entitled fucks are the ones who never ‘bend’ and will just walk backwards onto a trafficked sidewalk to have their friend take a picture. my fav thing in LA is going to Huntington Library but that’s about it. i agree with the others go to Joshua Tree and Laguna Beach. there’s good food all over socal especially mexican. LA has the best korean. long beach has the best thai. garden grove has the best vietnamese. sgv has the best chinese.

start the day off in santa monica but look towards tha ocean cause most that shit burnt down, get coffee/Bevvys maybe a lil breakfast sandwich 🍳 take cute pics at the ferris wheel/pier etc then take your asses towards FAIRFAX get a photo with tyler the creator at the golf wang store (he the janitor) if you into thrifting hit the goodwill in fairfax (if i recall its 2 stories tall?) theres other great shops in that area + the LACMA is there as well. Hauser & Wirth is another great gallery if u guys are enjoy that. end the night with dinner in koreatown and top off the night with karaoke at a dive bar in the area. other things: -horseback riding near the hollywood hills -Lil Tokyo -Family Amusement Corp in Koreatown (iconic tumblr spot)
