wait that's actually big brain, drawing grey on lighter grey?? does that help with not straining your vision? I try drawing like, light purple on white and it doesn't seem to help *sob emoji*

Yes it does help, tremendously. Black lineart on a white background will give me major head aches. I use a dark red to make lineart (It can appear black or grey) , and usually set my BG to a tone like soft grey, light brown, or even a pale/pastel greyish blue.
