Wow amazing work of Ula (female Polish bot showgirl previously worked in Las Vegas), she's hot & quite deadly when armed with a Derringer pistol (edit: not sure if handgun accurate) at her left thigh for self defense. :P

Was not prepared for the amount of LEG on display. Could kill a man with those gams.

Greg H

...there was a pistol?

Miy Eterp

I meant handgun, my bad. 😅

SerpentSong1

If the way she talks is any indication, she probably has!

No, pretty sure you're good, I was just doing a bad joke about paying more attention to well toned robot thighs.

In one panel, Emmy was flustered by looking at Ula's leg. That got me thinking this girl is just respectful, ace, or a flustered sapphic who doesn't know yet. I find it interesting because to me, it brings up sexuality in the robot world here. Like would it be weird if some robots started dating because they are seen as tools? Do engineers and manufacturers give certain robots romantic feelings so they feel more human and thus can sell to families like with Emmy's line of work? Are there robots that are specifically designed for sex work?

Orpheus

Pretty sure the robots aren't specifically programmed for emotion. They're self-aware; emotion comes with the territory.

I apologize for saying this, but looks like Ula gives Vexus a run for her money when it comes to attractive fembots.

Handgun and Pistol are synonyms; you were right the first time.

I commented in WEBTOONs on this page in which Ula’s skin, whatever material it is, have lost its color prolly over time plus perhaps she doesn’t have access to tools needed to upkeep the “skin” with how it’s patchy-looking. Speaking of patchy, I don’t think the missing eye & skin portion were voluntary so it’s why Ula comes prepared with self-defense. 🔪🔫

BunSum

Welp, I love her

Emmys face in the “I also keep this on me” panel is adorable

I don't really like how much we tend to assume that all non-human entities who seem different from us secretly yearn to be more like us, it's very anthropocentric. It can make sense for some beings like service robots to want to become more human, but I don't like the idea that any human behavior or feeling must have some way of expressing itself in other beings, and for them to on their own see the same things in it as we do. So I tend to not favor narratives that implies robots would innately learn to be romantic. Though, I'm not too against they idea that they could maybe internalize romantic behaviors through exposure and by some set of underlying reasons to incorporate that into their narrative of themselves. But I prefer there be motivating reasons for them to internalize such emotions, rather than it just arbitrarily happening because it's an emotion the reader is familiar with and expects. As for sex bots, since this setting seems to be pretty old-timey and prudish, and has ongoing skepticism towards robot's place in society, I feel like it makes the most sense to assume such robots are banned (but probably with some kind of black market, if you wanna imagine getting dark with it). Except in Nevada maybe, given they're the only place in real life US that still is allowed to run brothels, maybe they got away with sleeze-bots too in this timeline. So that would make sense, and if so, who knows what Ula is equipped with.
