DEMO FROM SCRATCH PRODUCTION STREAM 2 (2HRS) (Patreon)

We decided to record another part of our 'Demo from Scratch Production Stream' series, as we find these videos to be a great mix of inspiration, education, and insight. You can see how we start our projects, learn cool techniques, and get inspired—all in one video.

In the previous video, we created a demo using Serum patches we made. But this time, we took a different approach by using bounced stems to build half of a track, including the intro, primarily using one sample from our September sample pack. You’ll see more of the production techniques we use in our tracks, and we hope this inspires you to create something awesome!

• Part 1 (00:00 - 01:10:19) - Finding the idea and building the first 16 bars of the demo.

• Part 2 (01:10:19 - 01:23:10) - Adding details to the groove. In this part, you’ll see how one small detail can bring a track to life.

• Part 3 (01:23:10 - 01:27:57) - Adding a few more touches to the sub-bass to make it more interesting.

• Part 4 (01:27:57 - 01:36:26) - Experimenting with the drums.

• Part 5 (01:36:26 - 01:56:19) - Starting the intro and adding more details to the drumline.

• Part 6 (01:56:19 - 01:58:24) - Adding vocals.

• Part 7 (01:58:24 - 02:03:46) - The final result.
