It's that time again! Not monthly polling! That's coming, but not just yet... No, it's time for you to listen to my spiel about what my plans are for future and changes that are going to be made. Just been doing some thinking, and having mostly finished DOS, I feel like a few things need to happen going forward, as I begin to prioritize getting back into Unity. Some things you might like. Some, not so much.

First , I'm retiring the piratetripper. Because it's this rather archaic thing that's over a decade old at this point, and it seemed like a much better idea at the time it was conceived. Really, it's primary function is to keep games up-to-date now, and even that's somehow iffy for a few people. Furthermore, in the long term, I don't want it to keep hindering people who truly support my work. So starting today, all games on the website will no longer be using the PT. DOS will use the PT for a bit longer, but when I'm done with updates, that will change as well. If a file has somehow stopped working for you, message me and throw in your paypal e-mail just in case, to get the file that has nothing to do with the PT.

Second thing, loyalty rewards as they are now are going to change. By that, I mean that the criteria for attaining them is going out the window. This does NOT mean that everybody is getting loyalty rewards, on the contrary, it might mean that I'll end up being a bit more selective. The thing is, I don't want to quantify "loyalty" anymore with those conditions. Going forward, loyalty rewards will be just as random, but I'll only send them out to "sincere patrons who have been with me a while" as per my discretion. They're also going to get much less focus for the time being, because as I've said, I want to start focusing on Unity. I'm not going to say when I send them out, or who I've sent them to. It's just something that will happen, and loyalty rewards can still be just about anything. Don't ask about loyalty rewards either. If you get some, great! If not, not a big deal. You might get something tomorrow, or next week...or next year. I will shortly however, send out a batch of all the loyalty rewards available now, in accordance with the patrons who fall under the current conditions. If you think I missed you, please send me a PM and I'll get to you.

Edit: For the loyalty reward compilation that just went out, I actually forgot to include the utility.dll file. Just copy this file from any game (DOS or other), and stick it in the same folder. Games should work fine afterwards.

Third thing, the current mini games are the last mini games that will be updated based on the current polling system. So what usually happens is, the three games are updated until they fall out of popularity, or they get to the point where I don't feel there is much left to add. Once that happens, we hold a poll to determine some new mini games to throw into the fray. Up until now that has been fine, but now that I'm going to try to do more Unity, which is an architecture that I've yet to fully get a handle on, not to mention I'm trying to better grasp 3D modeling, I just don't think it's in anybody's best interest for me to also be putting a ton of time into developing on Flash as well. So once we get done with these current mini games, the three game update system is going to cease.

I do realize that this has been the backbone of my patreon thus far, and as such, I already am working on something to replace that system. I think this idea is something that you'll enjoy, and while it will be based in flash, it will require less focus overall as to allow me to focus more on Unity. As I start getting more accustomed to Unity, I'll start posting progress posts among other things.

The final thing, Demon Tale will not be as long as I originally anticipated. I had originally intended for Demon Tale to be around MBR's length or longer. However, I really don't feel up to making another big flash project. Been pondering about this for a while, and again, I' m really looking forward to getting more into Unity this year.

Unity might be an interesting idea, like to see what you come up with. Slight hiccup on my end that the two loyalty reward programmes don't load when I run them. I am unsure how to get them to work, tried extracting as well as running them as admin. The Unity reward works fine however with little issues other than the three enemies disappearing permanently when defeated though I understand it is a work in progress. Looks good so far, can't wait to see more.

Shatter Realm

All i can say is, i'll be a loyal supporter for as long as i possibly can and i can't wait to see the direction your game making goes! Here's to the best!!!

Nonya

I had the same problem with the loyalty reward games.

AeonDK

Can't say I'll be sorry to see PirateTripper retired; I've definitely had to contact you a couple of times over the years for fresh copies of one game or another! The rest all seems like interesting times are ahead and I'll definitely be interested in seeing what you manage in Unity as the Rainbow Mika demo was a really promising start. I'll keep supporting you as long as I can, Bomb!

Sorry, I actually forgot to include the utility.dll file. You can copy that from DOS or any game and stick it in the same folder. They should work fine then.

Bomb-A-HEAD

Thanks for sticking with me Shatter Realm! I try my best to do right by you and those who support me.

Bomb-A-HEAD

Yeah, PT was a neat little idea at first, but it's outlived its utility somewhat. But seriously, thanks for sticking by me all this time Aeon. Looking forward to creating things you and others might enjoy!

So long PirateTripper you won't be missed by me. It always been iffy on my part when a game would load correctly or not (can't even replay the full version of MBR anymore cause of that). As for the mini games, it's sad to see go.However being the last batch, I'm certain they'll be the best yet. And if you continue to put that same passion towards Unity then I have no worries. Sticking with ya for a long time to come.

I'm exicted to see what you have in store for us and I'm curious to see how your style that I like so much will translate to 3D. I understand that it will take time to learn both Unity and 3D so no worries if things start to look more "prototype-ish" I think that 3D will help you create content like clothes, new character or customization faster and more easily once you have created and fine-tuned your own 3D bodies. As for loyalty rewards, it's now more of a feeling thing than hard requirements, like feeling a certain Patron has really stuck around overall? Thanks for the loyalty rewards! By the way, on svipvids.com, where did you get the game of "Alice vs Asuka"?

Bomb-A-HEAD

Thanks Verdonator! Oh, and you need to ask SMB about all that other stuff on his site.

BunnyUqou

dam hate to hear demon tale won't be long that one had a lot of potential but I am with you though thick and thin so we move forward I will support you no matter what path you choose do your best we are here for you after all ^.^b

Emily

I summed all that up as "this isn't even my final form" I'm looking forward to the Bomb-A-Head future.

DancinLumberjack .

The piratetripper change is nice. There are a ton of other things to play so I don't mind you slowing down to learn the ropes of an engine that isn't Flash. Flash has its own issues, namely its existence online fading nowadays, even if I understand it's been your bread and butter for all this time. Happy for that change too.

Verdonator

Oh, for some reason, I thought this site was yours. My bad.

SupremeVictory

For Demon Tale, will the 3rd girl eventually be playable and will there be another section? Also how do you select another character after starting a file. I created two different folders, but unless you delete the save I don't know of another way to do so.

Bomb-A-HEAD

I'm thinking about it. I might just have her do NPC stuff. Right now, there is no way to switch characters.

That guy

Can't say I'm sad about PirateTripper leaving, already had a few headaches over that I had to message you over. I look forward to your continued work, as usual!

Bomb-A-HEAD

Thanks for feedback and support all! Here's to moving forward.
