How’s production on Hillside going, DB, and when do you think it will be released?

Production is going well. Pushing for a Steam release has caused a bit of disruption, mainly because I’m focused on getting the store page up as quickly as possible. But I’m hoping to have v0.17 ready around the beginning of April.

Which character has changed or evolved the most from how you originally envisioned them?

None of the characters have fundamentally changed from my original vision. What has changed is their depth. As the story has grown beyond its initial, simpler version, all of them became more layered.Charlotte has probably deepened the most overall, mainly because her backstory demands it. Her trauma, her experience as a mother, and her life as a famous supermodel naturally add a lot of emotional weight to her character.That said, Suzi’s story arc has evolved the most. She started out quite two-dimensional, with very little character development. Now, she arguably undergoes the biggest personal change of all the love interests.

When will we learn Charlotte’s secret in Hillside?

Not in the next two updates. Most likely the one after that, once things have settled down a bit and Charlotte is free to go out on her own again.

Are you planning to add anal sex to Hillside?

No. I'm not planning on having any anal content. Sorry.

Will we have the chance to beat up Harry Wolf?

We’ll be confronting Harry soon, but I don’t want to say more than that.

The four love interests will have a wedding, so I take it Kaylah is not one of them?

Correct. Kaylah will not have a wedding. Weddings will be reserved for the four main love interests.

OK, I like redheads, so… will we see more of Suzi’s gorgeous roommate, Hannah?

We will see more of Hannah, but not a great deal more, unfortunately. You will be able to have a brief sexual relationship with her.We’ll also be seeing Elena again soon in v0.18. She’s a story character only, though, and there won’t be any kind of romantic or sexual relationship with her.

How many updates do you plan for the rest of this project? Are we halfway, a quarter of the way, or something else?

While the story is written, it hasn’t been completely fleshed out or broken down into individual updates or episodes, so I can’t say exactly how many updates remain.That said, if I had to estimate, I’d say we’re about 65–70% of the way through the project.

DB, please tell me there will be a way to get Steve and Lucy together. They seem made for each other.

Yes, there will be at least one path where Steve and Lucy get together. However, I don’t plan to spend much time on romantic relationships that don’t involve the MC.

I’ll ask you the same question as last time: is there any chance of a prequel with the original Emma, or a sequel with the cutie Emma?

I don’t really see much potential in a prequel focused on the original Emma, as her story is tragic and short.I also don’t currently see myself making another large visual novel centred on the Lloyds. I think, creatively, I’ll need to move on to something different.But who knows. Ongoing advances in AI could change what’s possible in the future. If we reach a point where creating consistent characters and environments becomes much easier, I’d definitely consider more stories with the Lloyds if there was enough interest.
