Another Missed Release and Apology (Patreon)

I'm sorry for promising and missing another release date.

I know people will be justifiably pissed off, and I can only apologize again.

Clearly something is very broken with how I'm currently managing things. I tried making changes after the last release when exactly the same thing happened, but they clearly didn't work. So I will have to try making more radical changes this time.

There's obviously no point in me giving you another release date, so I'll just say that I will get v0.10 completed as soon as possible and let you know when it is ready for download.

With the quality of the work and the story i couldn't imagine how hard it is to code that much work so take your time and don't listen to people you gave a estimate date but people don't understand coding very well and we at least know you haven't stopped working and that it's almost done so keep up the good work.

Yeah, people like you Danny B have never understood the idea of patronage in the first place. Better if you just leave this thing all together instead of putting totally unneeded preasure on great developers like DarkBlue. You won't be missed.

Devs like you often put tremendous (unnecessary) pressure on yourselves to hit particular release dates. I am certain that most of your supporters understand that this is a game in development, and that partial releases are subject to change. We support you because we want you to realize your vision -- not because we're waiting for a release on a particular date.

I support over 20 Devs so don't tell me I Don't understand the idea of patronage. Three of them release quality updates in 3 to 4 weeks,

I agree with Raife - don't forget you started this as a bit of fun - keep perspective and allow yourself some forgiveness. We're not pissed and you have not let us down. Work normal hours and don't forget to get out of the chair and get some fresh air every couple of hours!

Hey DarkBlue, from someone who has been in the industry for 10+ years, you're fine. 🙂 As always, we're just happy you're telling the story. If you really want to give us a release date, an estimate is fine. 🙂🤘 You can be more specific to us after the build has been stabilized and have done a rough play through of it a couple of times around and see how many bugs you may see. Either way, we're good. Don't stress out over this dude. All of us who are still here will support you no matter what. 🤘 Likewise, if you want to ever throw around ideas and just chat, please let me know. 🙂🤘
