I'd be interested to hear any comments that you have about this possible music for the title page.

I wanted to find a track with vocals and meaningful lyrics, but I'm not sure about this one now. Maybe simpler instrumental music would be better?

Thanks,DB

The music and intro are great. I wish DB had stayed that way.❤️

Shiftlock

Yeah that would be a nice add to it shows you are improving alot in my opinion you should do it maybe a different song i feel dosent matches the game idea but is not too much maybe the song but without the lyrics

CalmChaos

I like it I like it. Gives the game more life

This is most likely a wish but I find Jefferson Airplane - Somebody to love as appropriate for the title page. the first two lines of the lyric capture Emma's story perfectly. the second set of lines captures MC's story. haven't figured out the third set of lines for which character maybe Lucy? the fourth set of lines captures Charlotte's story And the refrain of Somebody to Love seems to be what everyone is looking for. Even MC though he denies it. He needs to find a new purpose to live and closure to his past love.

Griffin

It definitely gives the game a different vibe then what I pictured. That's not a bad thing, I like the music. But if im being honest, the music gives the game a tone that I wouldn't have associated with the game. I guess it gives off a more light-hearted upbeat tone....to a game that I think so far has been somewhat moody and dark.

I think this music might fit somewhere in the game, but I’m not sure it fits for the title screen. It feels too artificial and brassy. In my opinion, the title screen music should match the overall feel of the game. Honestly, while HS is going to turn into a love story, this is not the focus. No one in the game is looking for love (except for perhaps Lucy). They’re looking for safety and security and to bury their demons. I think the music should, as much as is possible with your limited options, reflect that. Perhaps something acoustic and hopeful sounding.

No song is going to be perfect unless an artist does one special. Don't get bogged down trying to please everyone. I think its great and fits well. I also love how the title screen is now a slide show. Great job!

Wicked Garden

Hmm… Baby one more time by Britney Spears is a must, that or Sir Mix A-Lot’s Baby got back. I know it’s a tough decision but make the right one.

Terry Latham

I like the song, I think it's sentiment is fitting to a certain degree but an instrumental might better serve the ambiguity of a choice based game and gives you more freedom to find something on point for the overall tone.

Impious Monk

I don't care for the song, tbh. But I don't think it detracts from the game. Music taste is so subjective. I think if you like the vibe it creates you should keep it.

Armin Vucsina

I like it as a nice intro. Yes, the game may throw shit at the protagonists, but we as MC are by their side, and it will all be okay in the end. As for the concerns regarding an instrumental, if you click on load game fast then you won't hear any lyrics anyway. A good song can draw you in, like Punk Rock Flu on Delta Iota Kappa or Hello Love for AOA Academy. PS: Don't let you search for an intro song detract you from fixing the persisting achievement bug. ;)

DarkBlue

Thanks, Armin. And sorry about that bug. I've been unable to find the cause so recently asked someone else to look at it for me, but they couldn't find it either. I think I know a way to fix it though, so will try and get it done for the next update.

I think Toxic would be a better choice. I have the dance routine as a motion capture. 🙂

First of all take into account that this is very much personal as the musical tastes differ a lot from people to people. 1- The song start very slowly 30 seconds with almost instrumental sound and then change it to a vocal song is not the best option in my opinion because 30' is more than most people will stay in the menu (if you go with a vocal song, a lot of people would never known that the song is a vocal one). 2- The vocal part is a lot more good choice than the instrumental part you could cut the first 30 seconds and you have a good starting point close to the 32'' maybe with a fade in from a couple o seconds earlier. 3 - The dynamic range is nice there are not too much difference between the softer and the louder parts of the song.

Wicked Garden

Lol, yeah let’s go with that instead.

Idk. First thing that comes to mind for me is. Can't help but falling in love with you. By Elvis. Theres also the more upbeat song Fools by Foster. Based on the same song. Just my options on but idk lol
