Hey gang. It's been kind of a whirlwind of a month and I wanted to at least put out SOMETHING to let you guys know what's been goin on.

This video is unlisted so only Patrons with access to this post can watch it, so please don't share it (I don't even know if you can? idk)

Also I filmed and edited this video earlier today (hence the sunlight) but rendering/uploading to YouTube took FOREVER today cause laptop/WiFi has been a real bitch.

If you don't feel like watching the video - TLDR:

-scrapped a bunch of vids last month cause nothing was clickin

-ended up working on "If Movies Were Games - Blade Runner 2049" but video felt off and then Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay video came out and made me look real unoriginal and took a dump on me (cause game looks fucking INCREDIBLE)

-been in California and did real great stuff with Gus Johnson & Eddy Burback (including filming last month's shout-outs which are previewed in this vid and will be featured in the next NakeyJakey vid on Flash Games)

-got shit in the works I'm really excited about

-love you guys :)

xoxo,

Jakey

P.S. - Sorry I have major camel tail in this video. It's a lot of crotch shots.

Looking forward to all that's coming but nothing makes the heart fonder than distance no homo <3

abitofmiranda

Awesome! Do you think that someday you'd consider releasing the Bladerunner 2049 video (assuming you didn't delete it all) as some unfinished bonus content? I love your "If Movies Were Games" videos and have had my fingers crossed for more 😃

Honestly, thank you for keeping it real with us bud. Super excited for the future.

Totally understand you scraping the videos. You're easily the best content creator on this platform at the moment because you have so much heart and passion pumped into your videos. Keep on doing you Jakey.

You're such a genuine dude, I love it. Are you still in CA? Come over and play Dark Souls w/me? 😂 #butsrslytho

Yo, I have that Alcatraz shirt! It's a dope shirt

I don't think I'll ever dedicate the time to finish editing it, but I could at least upload the intro to the video. Maybe along with some other scrapped videos in a compilation? We'll see :)

I used to have the exact shirt from a Goodwill in Denver and I lost it, so I when I actually went to Alcatraz I had to get another one. Once again, it's my favorite shirt :)

Says he's fine? I see that band-aid on your arm!

Honestly I don't mind the delay. My small support amount is to help ensure you can keep creating meaningful art without having to rely on click bait, or putting out half baked content to get some revenue.

You have enough content I can rewatch anyway! Love you stuff man, it brings hours of entertainment and laughter! :)

A Random Guy

I think you could re-add stuff you said in this video as to why you scrapped the idea INTO the video you already made and upload then? Not everyone saw the whole gameplay showoff ;__;

Can't wait to see what you did with Gus, dude is very funny

Best of luck in the future to you jakey! BTW, if my payment goes in today, that's the video after the flash game one that will have the shout out?

Yofu-Kashi

I liked this a lot. Thanks for doing this video Jakey! I live in South Bay, would love to bump into you and give you the most awkward high five you've ever experienced.

I’m so happy for you!

twoloavesofbread

At least you did that DYKG episode! You're awesome, man, do what u gotta do.

The clips from your Blade Runner video look super enticing. You should finish and release that jizzle with a caveat at the start explaining the deal. Your vids are legit. Be bold

Been dealing with the same shit personally so I feel this. To just throw this out there for a general thing I think a video game adaptation of The Descent would be cool as shit using the same sensory deprivation of Hellblade and making the cavern open ended and you have to find your way out (no spoilers because I love this movie). That or like a spiritual sequel to Spider-Man 2 that has all the Raimi cast come together to make a "Superman Returns" for the Raimi Spider-Man movies.

Jesper Toftenes

Would you consider releasing the script of the Bladerunner vid?

Sorry to hear you went through some creative block and then the Cyberpunk shit went down. I’m a designer, so my entire life is about getting through that block. It is not fun and takes years to get over the feelings of it, you'll get used to it man, it's a natural part of what creators do.

Blade Runner 2049 is my favorite movie for sure, and to hear your thoughts on what that game would look like would be amazing. Cyberpunk 2077 has me hella stoked, but like someone above me said, you could add the caveat explaining the situation. Not to mention that aesthetic with your handwritten stuff overlaid is rad. Point is, I think people would probably understand. Shitty timing for sure though :/
