This is definitely one of my favorite episodes of s3. I love this close look at Hook's backstory which shows what a deeply hurt and damaged man he's become because of his circumstances. Deep down he is a good and honorable man that was crushed by the losses he had in his life (first his brother and later Milah) was drowning in his need for revenge. I believe that meeting Emma and getting to know her and helping her save Henry is slowly giving his life a new purpose and is bringing back the man he truly is. To me, Hook and Emma have an insane amount of chemistry and I remember at this point shipping them hard when I was first watching this show. I was fangirling hard at their loss lol. Thanks for yet another great reaction :)

So, saving David. I think that yes, partly it was for Emma. But also, all through the episode they were showing us how similar David is to Liam. Killian definitely sees bits of his brother in David, there was no way he could've just let him die, especially not of the same thing that killed Liam...
