In Rhaenyra's absence, Rhaenys tries to calm the Council as Cole mounts a campaign in the Crownlands. Meanwhile, Aegon discovers Aemond and Criston's schemes and demands a prominent victory from them.

I just have to say, Daemon wanted to prepare for war for weeks. And he was portrayed as a warmonger by Rhaenyra and Rhaenys. In reality he is just realistic, maybe listen to your only experienced wargeneral in times of war? The Blacks have waited far to long!! Trying to achieve peace is admirable but in this situation it was just naive! Because Alicent just doesn't has this kind of power. Even if Alicent hadn't misunderstood Viserys' last words, we would still be in the same situation. Otto had this all planned since episode 1 of season 1, and who foresaw this from the beginning? Yes, Daemon. So I can understand that Daemon is starting to get frustrated and restless because no one ever listens to his advice!!! Daemon, along with Jace, is one of the only ones who has done anything useful so far. But an army doesn't form overnight. The Greens also had to take several houses and went on the offensive. For Rhaenys I say respect, but she had several chances and didn't take them! She could have ended it all last season and in the first episode of this season, Daemon suggested to her that together they had a chance against Vhagar. Daemon and Caraxes probably have the most combat experience of the Blacks. When your opponent goes on the offensive, it's just a bit naive to do nothing and just hope that somehow peace can be made. But maybe Rhaeny's and Meyle's deaths have finally woken Rhaenyra up...

Your reaction to the dragon scenes was the same as mine! Happy that the first thing you said about Sunfyre was how beautiful he was, since that is how he is described in the book: the most beautiful dragon ever. That is also why Aegon uses a golden dragon on his sigill, he's so proud of Sunfyre. And I think they did a really good job with his design and personality with that short scene when greeting Aegon. Broke my heart to hear him screech in pain while falling from the sky. And that last look from Meleys to Rhaenys... I cried heaps too. Fun fact: The old man that Cole beheaded was indeed the father of the Lord Commander of Rhaenyras Queensguard Ser Steffon Darklyn (at least thet seems to be the realtion in the show, I don't remember if it's the same in the book). The Darklyns have a long tradion of wearing the white cloaks, one of the very first seven Kingsguard that was appointed to Aegon the Conqueror was a Darklyn. So for Cole to hear from a Darklyn that he is not fit to wear the white cloak has got to sting a little extra...

Did you recognise the Blackwood guy who came to speak to Daemon? He said he contested for Rhaenyra's hand in marriage before she chose Laenor. He's that little boy who came to ask for Rhaenyra's hand in marriage at Storm's End. The boy who killed that big Bracken guy while Rhaenyra and Criston was leaving.

Both Rhaenys Targaryens died fighting on their dragons. The conqueror's sister wife as well as the queen who never was. The conqueror's sister wife Rhaenys Targaryen died in Dorne when they shot her dragon Meraxes through her eyes with scorpion. Meraxes fell from the sky crushing Rhaenys. Similarly Rhaenys the queen who never was. Crushed under Meleys.

Daemon asking a TULLY of all people to kill a member of his own FAMILY is not very smart. Family is the most important thing for the Tullys, like honour is for the Starks, or strength for the Greyjoys, or incest for the Targaryens. A Tully would never betray his family.

Wait, why are you rooting for Aegon? :-D He is the absolute worst, almost as bad as Joffrey in Game of Thrones. Aegon is an extremely lazy, vain, arrogant and violent rapist and a terrible king. He has literally zero positive qualities. I've been hoping for him to die for so long, I can't believe you actually like him. O_O
