Nellie being the bent neck lady and tormenting herself was sooooo diabolical of the writers and creator 😭😭

Mike Flanagan always makes it beautiful and tragic at the same time, really hope you react to his other works they’re sooooo good!!

When you look at the bent neck lady as a symbol of depression, the same way the top hat man is a symbol for Luke's addiction, the lines Nellie is saying just break you. "I hadn't seen her since Arthur and I met. I started seeing her when I was a kid... Then he came into my life and she went away, and she killed him" Yeah I bawled the whole scene. It made me realize Hill House was never the thing she was truly blaming

I remember when I first watched this show, I loved the story telling aspect that kept you guessing wether the ghost were real or were they fictional imaginations of the kids because the only time they appear to them as adults, is when they are going through their adult problems. They manifest as a symbol. So it's fun to go throughout the show and guess what is real and what can be explained through logic.

When Nellie is on her medication, Luke is on drugs. When she flushes them down the toilet and stops taking them, he gets clean and she feels his withdrawls. Its a twin thing.

Now that you know she died by her neck snapping, think back to Luke's episode. He woke up that morning with a crick in his neck. It bothered him a few times throughout the day. He even remarked that he must have slept in a bad position to cause it.

Your scream made me jump! Poor you! This show is really getting you but that's one of the best parts of it! Stay strong!

Loved your theorising on the Moms motivations! Also thanks for adding the black square behind the video as it really, really aids visibility in those night/dark scenes

The way I interpreted the writing on the walls and Nell haunting herself was the possibility that time isn't linear after you've passed.
