I’m sure some BB fans will disagree, but I see Walt’s absolute panic over not knowing why Jesse is with Mike as more of a panic about his loss of control over Jesse, and his loss of control over the lab. He demands Jesse as his partner and now he’s being denied that. No one respects Walt enough to fill him in. And then at dinner, Hank was denying Walt credit for his blue meth. It’s a theme. Walt’s ego is getting battered from all sides. Also, if they were to kill Jesse, Walt would certainly fear for his own life as well. I don’t think his concern over Jesse’s whereabouts are entirely selfless.

When Walt Jr was drinking coffee from a mug and Walter looked at him funny, it's because Walt Jr's mug was from Ted Beneke's company, which reminded Walter of Skyler sleeping with Ted Beneke the previous season. This partially explains why Walter was in such a bad mood during the dinner scene.
