Regarding Paige and astral projection, they basically already gave her a version of both of Prue's powers. What I love about Paige's two powers (her special version of telekinesis, and regular Whitelighter orbing) is that they're basically the same as Prue's two powers. Orbing is essentially like Astral Projection; moving your body to another location. The benefit that Paige doesn't have is that Prue's astral projection couldn't be hurt/killed, but her body did have to be unconscious. The benefit that Prue didn't have is that with orbing, you can teleport other people with you, not just yourself.

You're right its very reminciest of Normal Again from Buffy. Roseanne did something similar, as did Dallas... I am kind of on the fence of "it was all just a dream." or "it was on in their head." types of episodes, but I think they wrote this one really well.
