Top 5 episode for me out of the series. Alyssa did great as the Evil Queen 😈

What’s funny Sofie is Julian and Shannen were dating during filming this.

I so agree with you Sofie. Cole did deserve better. He was such a complex and interesting character. I wish they would have found a way to save him for good. This episode is so heartbreaking 💔😢 I cry at the end every time

I actually don't think Cole deserved to be saved. He's tragic, for sure, but he spent a century hunting, maiming, killing people as a bounty hunter for the Source. He was feared for a reason. Loving Phoebe doesn't undo all that, as much as we want them to work, romantically speaking (and damnit, Phoebe deserves love without a catch). He was a morally gray character (and one of my favorites, tbh) in a sort of black and white show, so yeah, they sort of fumbled him, but I don't necessarily agree he deserved salvation.

This episode breaks my heart 😢 But I have to admit, I actually don’t see how they could have done more to save Cole. Maybe early on episodes ago when he was still fully fighting for control? But now…he and the source were too interconnected by this point. They were basically one evil being that still somehow loved Phoebe. As sad as it is, I think he had to die. I adore the Phoebe and Cole love story! But I always believed it was meant to end tragically, kind of like Prue and Andy (though in drastically different ways, of course)

It's more complicated than that. Cole wasn't the demon that killed innocents for the Source. Belthazor was. Cole never stood a chance against Belthazor until he met Phoebe. Just like he was mostly unable to fight off the Source inside him. He never wanted to be the Source. He even tried to get rid of it, but Phoebe prevented it. Now I get that Cole doesn't get a clean slate just because it was the demon inside him that did all the evil stuff. But condemning him and not saving him because of the crimes that his demon side did, which they already vanquished, seems just wrong. He tried to be a good person as a human and I think that deserves a second chance.

I agree with both, also have to consider that Julian wanted to leave the show as well, so even if they could write a story where he’s redeemed, the actor was going to leave anyway. He got a mail role at Nip and Tuck.

Of course, with Julian wanting to leave, they had to write his character off somehow. However, it's not like it came out of the blue to the writers. They had plenty of time to write him a better send-off than the one they ultimately decided on - even though I loved his final episode. I hope Sofie will watch and react to Nip/Tuck. It's a great show. The first 3 or 4 seasons in particular. I haven't seen any reactors do that show and I was going to suggest it after Julian's departure from Charmed.

The problem with Cole is that he always wants to kill Phoebe‘s family instead of just being with her he always wants to get ride of her sisters and have her to himself
