Welcome to the primary complaint with the second game of TLOU. Joel was the heart of the show and the game.

gigi

i disagree, i loved the second game. better than the first and much more complex storytelling

Cameron

I'm not saying there aren't people who enjoyed it. If we disregard the homophobes, as we should, the treatment of Joel's character is a main point of contention between those that loved both games and those that stopped after TLOU1. Technically and visually TLOU2 surpasses the first game in every aspect. On top of that at least the game followed through more than the show does. I'm curious to see how Sofie views the rest of TLOU's season 2.

Ricardo B,

I worked out he was going to die when the first teaser trailer came out for the game, with Joel discouraging an angry Ellie from what could only be revenge. And it does make the whole story from that point on weaker, but I actually enjoyed this season more than I did the second game. And there's a really excellent episode ahead, so watch on. This was another "someone will intervene" moment.

This is I think the fifth The Last of Us reaction I'm watching by someone who hasn't played the games, and not a single one of these reactors has been spoiled about this episode. This honestly gives me a little faith back in humanity. I've seen so many people intentionally, maliciously, gleefully spoil things on the internet (especially the Star Wars movies whenever a new one came out), so I'm very glad that at least most reactors have a very wholesome and respectful fanbase that usually doesn't spoil stuff. 😊

Sid

Tommy is one character I liked more in the show than in the games and this episode really lets him shine.

Nate

Yea playing the game was brutal
