Kelsey Roberts

I was waiting for this. Unfortunately, the stopping and rewinding 3+ times in a row is making it difficult to enjoy.

Nick

Nothing is stopping you from watching the movie itself you know.

Nick

Great finale! Sucks what happened to Prim though.

Kelsey Roberts

I guess. What used to be endearing is now a bit tiresome. Oh well. At least she liked the series.

Kelsey Roberts

Yea, I know. What I’m saying is that the feedback she’s providing is not the feedback I enjoy in a reaction.

Josh Z

The movie ending is great but I do wish that they had shown how broken Katniss actually was. She went mute for days, trying to die by starvation, becoming so mentally checked out that she remembered all the songs her father used to sing. The only part of her body that didn't suffer burns was her face. All that while being put on trial for murder (found not guilty by insanity ) exiled indefinitely to 12. Peeta has permanent episodes he is no longer hijacked but he has to deal with each episode until it stops. It takes decades before they have kids because they finally feel safe enough and the democracy is permanent. Truly bittersweet

Snow was poisoning himself also when he killed people with poison so it didn't look suspicious, he had remedys and stuff to help which he obviously didn't get access too after the war started.

Razzer95

Sadly Philip Seymour Hoffman who played Plutarch passed away before the last film finished so most of the scenes with him in this movie was CGI, he was a great actor.

Thomas

I understand you. I personally enjoy what she has to say. But it would be better if she said it in 1 go so that she doesn't have to rewind. But for now I let her rewind 2 times and after that every time she rewind I skip forward 10 seconds to compensate. This is her way of reacting and when I skip 10 seconds it's also fine.

Ashley

I don't understand why you would comment on her reactions and feedback just to say you don't enjoy it. That's mean. Her thoughtful commentary and wanting to really take in the scenes she watches makes her stand out as a reactor to me.

Kelsey Roberts

You think that any sort of constructive criticism is mean? That’s unfortunate. I hope you have something you do well enough to never be criticized otherwise you’re going to find yourself hurt by a lot of “mean” people.

Kevin Karst

@Ashley: There's often a really fine line between useful feedback and mean comments, and I think we all have individual and sometimes very different ideas of what is considered rude or mean. Of course Kelsey could have said something nice as well to sort of balance out the comment, but everything in all I still think the comment was intended to be an honest feedback and not an attack or something mean. Some people just communicate more directly than others and perhaps lack a little bit of tact. (I used to be a bit like that myself, so I can relate.) I personally don't mind the pausing at all, because Sofie has so many interesting things to say. But I never quite understood the point of rewinding scenes two or three times for no apparent reason and with no explanation. Sometimes I get a bit impatient and skip a minute or two to reach a point where she doesn't keep rewinding scenes so often. But it's just a very minor annoyance for me, I still absolutely love these reactions. 😊

Laure

I hope you will react to the prequel ☺️

Lucas Cespedes

Great reaction! I hope you react to the prequel movie

SoFieReacts

Sometimes I get distracted or don’t fully grasp a scene the first time, which is why I rewind. If the rewinding clips themselves feel annoying, that’s an easy fix on my end, I can simply cut those parts out in the edit. But the pausing and sharing my thoughts is something I can’t change. That’s a core part of how I react, and over time it’s become part of my style and my little “brand.” I know not everyone enjoys this type of reaction. Some people prefer watching the whole movie straight through with no commentary until the end. But that’s not the kind of content I make. My reactions are meant to be merged with my commentary. I hope you’re still able to enjoy the videos, because I really do put a lot of work into them. Honestly, it would be easier and much less time-consuming for me to just watch without stopping or rewinding, but I always aim to give my best in every reaction, and for me that means pausing to talk, reflect, and connect with the scene.

Kelsey Roberts

It's never about the stopping, my dear. I value your thoughts and I love that you don't want to miss a moment of the runtime to share them. Pausing is invaluable. I just get a bit anxious at the rewinding. I feel like my brain is skipping.

Nina

@Ashley: There is absolutely nothing mean about her comment....

juliet

I love rewinds! I'm not against them at all. Quite the opposite, actually. Please don't remove them from reactions 💜

Jeylee107

Thats not true, while he died during filming, he already filmed most of his scenes and the last two were rewritten

Razzer95

Well he was only in like 5 scenes so that’s not saying much

Jeylee107

But it wasnt cgi, even with only five scenes.

gigi

hi sofie! great reaction ❤️ glad you enjoyed the films! i think they are some of the best mainstream depictions we have of the devastating impact of colonialism and war. sorry in advance for the long comment: re: Plutarch and his political motives, I think the books do a better job at showing how he never saw Coin as a leader he was ideologically devoted to. He treats her more as a vehicle for change than a vision for the future. But i don’t think plutarch is trying to TRULY dismantle Panem’s system; hes not suggesting they rebuild the power structures from the ground up, he’s trying to sand down the roughest edges and replace Snow’s brutality with a more tolerable, liberal-democratic veneer. Because of that, I don’t think he secretly plotted for Katniss to kill Coin — but he was definitely content with the outcome as long as the transition was stable and his own position in the new world order was secure. The text implies he would have stood by Coin’s government if she’d lived, even without being fully on board with her methods. All of that is why I think he’s such a well-written character: incredibly realistic, morally complicated, and very true to how those with power behave in real-world political revolutions. also — I think you’d love this passage about why Katniss ultimately chooses Peeta over Gale (unless you’re planning to read the books yourself!): “What I need to survive is not Gale’s fire, kindled with rage and hatred. I have plenty of fire myself. What I need is the dandelion in the spring. The bright yellow that means rebirth instead of destruction — the promise that life can go on, no matter how bad our losses. That it can be good again. And only Peeta can give me that. So after, when he whispers, ‘You love me. Real or not real?’ I tell him, ‘Real.’”

Julia

cannot wait for you to watch the prequel!!!!!!

Sharon

Once again, you have shown that you are definitely the most perceptive/insightful reactor. You're the only reactor I've seen that figured out the Capitol attacks/bombing was Coin's idea, and the fact that it was Gale's plan.

Desiree Mclaughlin

Agreed. So many people seem to forget or not really pay attention to the scene with Katniss, Gale, and Beetee talking about the trap bomb.

Emmanuel Paquette

yeah and i dont know why i have. I usually pay close attention to details and foreshadowing. I must of been caught in my taughts/ didnt listen during that scene each time i watched the movie. Its so in your face obvious im shocked im didnt see it.

Lianza

mutts are genetically modified animals created by the Capitol. Like the dog creatures in the first film or the wasps (tracker-jackers) that make you hallucinate. Peeta would be considered a mutt because he's brain has been altered with the tracker-jacker venom

Triskel

"Giant turtle or something" took me out 😂 You're the best Sofie, loved the reaction

StaringStars

This is quite off-topic, but I'm desperate to know the brand and name of that lipstick you're wearing, because that's so pretty! On-topic, thank you so much for reacting to The Hunger Games, it was quite the ride! Like others mentioned, it was very satisfying to see you clock on so quickly to how it was Coin who bombed the children, I don't think I've seen any other reactors realize that so early.

Cei Stockport

Honestly, it almost ruined the end of the movie for me when the letter said Gale had been promoted rather than being executed along with everyone involved in the false flag. Using delayed action munitions designed to catch medics is considered one of the most SEVERE war crimes.

SidekickSteph

The way you clocked that 2nd bombing being Gale’s idea and Coin’s order was very impressive. This story is heartbreaking to watch. I read the books and refused to watch these movies for years bc of how sad the ending is. I’m just glad she has a small glimmer of light at the end.

SidekickSteph

Plutarch was the ultimate Gamekeeper.

Victor

I believe finick said that he had antidotes but the poisons he used were experimental, so there was room for bad health side effects. Mostly since he did it so frequently he has accumulated enough damage to lead him to his now old age death
