Didn't remember these episodes being back to back 🔥 This season is absolutely incredible

Initially, I was also a bit hesitant about the idea of Phoebe being the surrogate. And I think the points Ross and the whole group raised are valid, especially because we have reports that some pregnant women refuse to give up the child after giving birth, or even before, precisely because they haven't thought through the idea of "giving up" the baby, not to mention the emotional shock and hormonal changes. But what I like here is the discussion and the fact that it's a beautiful act to do this for a couple who simply can't and tried everything. And how much the act of giving a baby to someone who can't, but has the financial means and resources, and above all so much love to give to that child, is worth the sacrifice. Besides, the series is from the 90s; we didn't have these kinds of conversations back then. My mother is from the 90s and she recounts that the media and culture (especially here in Brazil where I live) were afraid of adoption and didn't encourage it because they used cases where the adopted child killed their parents as an excuse. As if every orphan was a potential criminal, which I won't even go into discussing how depraved and horrible that is to say about a human being. But, unfortunately, that was the reality at that time. And my mother says that what helped demystify this idea for her was precisely this episode of Friends, because it opened up this discussion and brought this other perspective I mentioned. So I really like Friends, even though it's a comedy series, it opens up spaces for issues that weren't well regarded at that time.

Thanks for the reaction as always Sophie! 🥺💖🫶🏻

Lisa Kudrow was pregnant IRL at this point and because all the friends is the core of the show they decided to write it in so that she could keep filming and so that they did not have to keep filming around her belly.

Gknow G

Props to Ross for knowing all of the answers to these questions.

Jay

These are some of my favorite episodes! The 7 monologue, the contest and Phoebe!! Oh lovely Phoebe!

Bet you didn’t have a surrogacy storyline on your Friends BINGO card 😆 Chandler messing up the joke about the blazer was unscripted. Matthew Perry messed up the line and the rest of the cast went with it and improvised.

Jaylen Greene

The thing when they bumped their wrists together at each other during the game is a call back to when Ross did it to I think Rachel when they were arguing and Monica explained Ross made it up when they were kids as a way to give someone the finger without actually doing so. She mentioned she cried cuz she realized she was cooler than him at that point. The group has apparently since adopted it into their dynamic.

Miloš 🇷🇸

So far charmed, friends, gossip girl, oth, etc all mention Donald trump even tho made in 90s. Why.

Nina

I just love how hard Ross worked on this game. 🤗 Also: "What is Chandler Bing's job?" is seriously the greatest question he could've come up with. 😂 Episode 12 is in my opinion the greatest episode of the show so far!

The best part of the series started with these episodes! The next 1,5 seasons will be extra special. I'm so excited ❤️‍🔥

Jon Biavati

The "Blue blazer black" line was a genuine flub from Matthew Perry. No one yelled cut so they continued. Monica's "you're stupid" was ad-libbed.

Steve Quast

"NOOOOOOOOO!!!" "DON'T BLAME THE QUESTIONS!" "MY SISTER'S GONNA HAVE MY BABY!" I love episode 12.

C_Drew

Episode 12 is one of my all time favourites!!! I don't think anyone knew what exactly Chandler Bing's job was at that time (it will be said in later episodes). By anyone I mean all other characters and the audience (minus chandler and Ross). But I believe there was a collective stump when that question was dropped ;) And we can absolutely feel Monica's NOOOOOOOOO

Kevin Karst

Trump was already an extremely famous billionaire in the US (not so much elsewhere) long before he became president. A lot of hotels and casinos in the US bear his name, as well as the Trump Tower. He was also the host of a reality competition show called The Apprentice, which was quite successful. And of course Trump has always been an entertaining, scandal-creating, self-promoting narcissist who craves attention more than anything else, so the media unsurprisingly have always been obsessed with him.

Equinox

Going off Rachel's reaction to toes made it seem that Ross and Rachel both were into toes in their relationship 😂 It showed that Ross knows them the best since he made up the questions.

Michael Instone

Lisa Kudrow, who played Phoebe Buffay, was actually pregnant in real life while filming the fourth season of Friends. The show's writers incorporated her real-life pregnancy into the storyline by having her character become a surrogate for her brother, Frank Jr., and his wife, Alice.

Raquel

Like everyone else I was waiting for these episodes. 11 with the "seven"... one of those scenes you always remember! and the uncut version 🤣 And episode 12, definitely one of my favorites. Dying for more... never enough with Friends! 😍

gigi

i do this hand gesture all the time to my boyfriend and my sister as a joke lol it’s tooooo funny and so stupid 😂

Sid

My sister, grandmother, and I had a PS2 game called the one with all the trivia. Since we were all big fans of friends, we enjoyed it very much. The questions were read by Janice, Gunther, Jack and Judy (Ross and Monica’s parents) And there’d be lines from the show such as Monica’s “Use your head!” or Ross’ “Excellent! Excellent.” For when you got the questions right or wrong. The only downside was that you only had about 6 seconds to answer the questions, which could be really hard if the 4 answers you had to read were all entire sentences. I never could figure out if there was a way to turn off the timer. But an otherwise great game.

Thomas

I know it will probably be a while before you have room for another show, but you should check out Cougartown (also stars Courtney Cox).

Randy Giles

He was also in Home Alone 2, and made a lot of guest appearances on sitcoms like The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Spin City. I think he's been famous since the 80's.

It's my favorite episode too !
