Hey guys,

The flu I had recently turned into a chest infection, and I’m still dealing with coughing, chest pain and shortness of breath. I can push myself to record and try not to laugh or talk too much while watching, but I don’t want to lower the quality of my videos just for the sake of posting. I like giving 100% in everything I do, especially when it comes to my reactions.

I know that if I don’t post now, I probably won’t be able to record anything until I’m back on January 6th, and the timing seriously sucks. For everyone who was looking forward to my reaction to the Friends Season 4 finale this Christmas, my reaction to stranger things episode 4 or attack on titan , I hope you understand. Thank you for being patient with me, it means a lot.

Ricardo B,

You did seem off on the boys reaction. Take your time and feel better.

DazzleFae

Don’t force yourself to do anything! Chest infections are awful and you need to just rest and enjoy Christmas as much as you possibly can while unwell. We all understand. Just work on getting better. 💜

I wouldn't want you to push yourself to record while you're feeling so bad, that's horrible! You're a human being! We're all here for you and will wait until you're feeling better. Your health comes first. I hope you get well soon, just try to relax and take medicine. You may need some antibiotics. DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS!! Tea with honey is nice. (coming from a medical school student) Merry Christmas <3

Steve Bondy

No problem Sophie! Don't worry about posting, put 100% into getting better. Best wishes for the season, and Happy New Year!

Amy

You should absolutely take time off to recover! I was looking forward to those things, but they're not as important as your health. It would be a bummer to see you miserably pushing through a reaction.

Nessa

Oh Sofie, I’m sorry that you’re going through this :( Don’t force yourself to record or do anything, health comes first and we understand. Take your time and rest as much as you can, I hope you get well soon. Happy Holidays!

SidekickSteph

Your health is most important Sofie, and I’d much rather have you laughing normal, than laughing and coughing. Get better, we will see you next year!!

Lau’

Hi! I’m sorry that you’re going through all of this. I wish you to get better as soon as possible so we can see your reactions to Friends final episodes. I have one thing to say though and I hope you won’t take it as a mean of pressure, but more as a consumer feedback. But we do pay to see your reactions in advance and quite a lot. Most of us pay not because we’re rich but because we genuinely like your content and who you seem to be as a person 🧡 so maybe you could consider lowering your prices when you know you’re not going to post that much. Maybe you already do it and I didn’t notice, and in that case I’m sorry. For instance, I would have to pay 13€ Sunday just to see your friends season 4 final reactions knowing that you’re taking a break right after. I’m simply not going to because I simply can’t and I feel frustrated about it and i must not be the only one. I sincerely hope this didn’t come across as mean or demanding and if it did I’m sorry.

Hi Lau, thank you so much for your message and for being honest with me, I really appreciate you taking the time to share how you feel. 💛 I completely understand where you’re coming from. I always want everyone who supports me to feel like they’re getting value from the tier they choose, and I never want anyone to feel pressured or disappointed, especially when life gets in the way and I can’t upload as much as I’d like. About the pricing, I actually would adjust tiers more easily if I could, but Patreon makes changing prices quite complicated. Any price change takes weeks to be approved and applied, and once it’s changed, switching it back is just as difficult. Because of that, I created multiple tier options so there are lower-priced choices depending on what works best for everyone. You can always downgrade your tier temporarily when I’m posting less and upgrade again later if you want. There’s absolutely no pressure to stay in a tier that doesn’t make sense for you at the moment. I really hope you continue to enjoy the content when I’m back to full health and energy. Right now I’m just focusing on getting better so I can give you all reactions where I’m 100% myself again. Thank you for your patience and for caring about the videos and about me, it means more than I can put into words. 💛✨

Oummie

Get better soon. Take care of yourself.

Lau’

Thank you for understanding and being so sweet :) I understand and it does make sense, thank you for explaining that to me. Again, wishing you speedy recovery ❤️‍🩹

Alile

I’m sorry you’re sick, especially over the holidays. I hope you feel better soon! Take care of yourself! 💜

Gillian

Take good care of yourself, Sofie. That is the what is most important. Rest up and we'll still be here when you are back.

DeAnna Bowie

I'm glad you're taking time to rest and get well Sophie, I hope it's a speedy recovery! Being sick is never fun but especially not over the holidays. I hope you feel well enough to enjoy your time with your family during your break at least and I'm excited for all the content to come in the new year!

Micaela DC

Don't worry!!! Take care of yourself, drink plenty of fluids, rest, and when you come back, know that you'll be back with the best, literally, THE BEST of friends.

Terry Mitchell

Not Gonna lie, was looking forward to Friends Finale by Christmas but I think if we have to choose between that and your health & well being, the choice is obvious. I will light a candle for you--Happy Howlidays :P to you and your pup!

Nanners

I am sorry you’re dealing with illness during the holidays. I am genuinely so so excited for you to see the Friends finale and ST episode 4 but I’ll enjoy it more if you can fully enjoy it, and not worry about coughing and/or feeling less than 100%. Take care of yourself and enjoy your break!! We’ll be here when you get back!

Bora Usta

Your health is what matters, you shouldn't force yourself to react if you're not feeling well. Rest and get well soon. We love you.

Nat 🌸

Aw, Sofie 😢 I’m sorry you’re dealing with that. Don’t worry about it! We’ll be here for you when you get back! I hope you feel better soon! Merry Christmas!! ♥️♥️

SnyderVick

shonnie

Get better soon sofie!! I too was sick for a few days, and it sucks. And of course we understand, prioritizing your health is way more important than these videos.

Eric Church

Ashley

Please don't push yourself to do anything. Just existing when you're sick is enough work. Take the time you need and don't pressure or rush yourself. I hope you feel better soon.

HuntingSwan

Definitely don't watch Friends finale until you can use your voice!

Triene

Your health is more important than anything else. Don’t let hustle culture push you to your limits. Rest so you feel better.

Hi Sofie,  I would like to follow up on this matter . I understand that changing prices on Patreon can be complicated. However, even if it’s difficult, I believe it’s something that should be considered, as this isn’t a one-time issue, delays have been a recurring problem for months now. I agree with Lau that the price feels quite high, and the ongoing frustration caused by these delays makes it harder to feel that the current tiers offer fair value. Because of this, I genuinely feel that a price adjustment or some kind of temporary reduction should have come from your side, rather than leaving it up to subscribers to downgrade or manage it themselves. You have a really nice and understanding audience, but sometimes it can feel like our concerns aren’t fully considered. I’m only bringing this up because I saw your answer ...I don’t want to be a pain, but I thought it was important to address.

I want to clarify that when it comes to pricing or temporary reductions, Patreon unfortunately gives me very limited control. Changing tier prices takes weeks or even months to be processed, and any changes only apply to new members, not current ones. so even if I reduced prices, it wouldn’t affect the people already subscribed. The same goes for temporary reductions; they aren’t something I can apply to existing supporters. This is why I’ve always tried to offer different tier levels, so everyone can choose what works best for them at any given time. If a tier feels too high for you right now, you can absolutely downgrade without any pressure or judgment. you should always do what’s best for you. Regarding delays: I completely understand how they can feel discouraging, but I want to be clear that I do always deliver the content I promise, even if sometimes life slows me down. When I come back after a break, I make sure to add extra videos to make up for the time away, because I want you to feel like your support is valued. And while I’m not comparing myself to others to excuse anything, I do work very hard to give a lot, many creators post around 3 videos a week, while I usually post more than 6. A temporary pause doesn’t mean I suddenly stop delivering; it just means I need time to recover so I can continue giving you content at the quality you expect. I hope this gives you more clarity on why certain decisions can’t be made as easily as it might seem from the outside. I’ll always do my best to meet the value of what you’re paying, but I also respect that everyone has to make the choices that feel right for them.

Rey

The usual delays are only a few days, not significant enough to warrant refunds or change in tiers. I think Sophie has been consistent with offering them. I would understand if the delays were weeks or months of low output quantity. If the post says a content on Sunday, I usually expect a day or two delay if any, because that’s Patreon life. I’m assuming these are usually sided gigs or hobbies with a full life outside of it.

darya

hey Sofie, hope you ll feel better soon, being sick is no joke! Just want to add to the convesation in a friendly way:) I would, for example choose a cheaper tier, but the shows Im interested in are not in it, so unfortunately for many that want to see, for example, Friends and Charmed there are no other options (i am subscribed for those two exclusively and dont really watch others). Hope it makes sence :)

Rebecca B1

I understand where you're coming from, but i do think that part of the problem is actually that you’re trying to post six videos a week instead of three like other creators. Most of us only watch between one or three anyway, so posting more isn’t necessarily a benefit for the viewers. It mostly just increases the chances of delays. Wouldn’t it be a good idea to reduce the number of videos, since it seems like a lot to manage? It would be a good compromise if you prefer not to lower the tier prices.

Sanya Arif

Travis views on here posts a lot more shows than Sophie but everyone has differently priced tiers and reasons of charging a bit extra. And Sofie reacts without us having to pay for streaming to watch along and that in itself gives me more bang for the buck

Rebecca B1

Of course, I’m not saying she posts more than all other creators on Patreon. I’m just saying that if it’s a struggle, maybe she could do less. Also, I’ve never had to watch via streaming, every reactor I’ve followed reacted the way Sofie does. It’s not a rare thing.

SidekickSteph

Tomorrow, tomorrow, it’s only a day away!!!! Hope you’re feeling better Sofie, and can’t wait for Friends finale!!! Woohoo!!
