The kid is an amazing actor, I can’t wait to see what else he does! I do think the casting in this show is amazing, but I think Dunk is an amazing actor too! His speech, the Baylor death scene and the scene where he gets his shield are peak for me.

7:59 - That sigil with the lamb and chalice is House Stokeworth, I believe. They're a minor noble house of the Crownlands. In GoT, Bronn was initially going to marry a Lollys Stokeworth (and implied he would kill Lollys' older sister in order for them to inherit the castle). But then Jaime recruited Bronn to go to Dorne on mission with him and I guess Bronn never married that woman.

The way you picked up on everything was amazing. This was a great first season, short and sweet, and what a beautiful ending. There was something so warm/hopeful about this show, I think it resonated with a lot of people in these complicated times. Thank you for the great reaction!

The good news Sofie, is that they are already filming season 2 which is slated to come out some time next year (2027). So we shouldn't have to wait too long!

"A true knight always finishes a story" is a dig at George R. R. Martin. He's one of the producers too, so I assume he knew about the joke and didn't mind. He has a great sense of humour and doesn't take himself too seriously. (He really should finish the A Song of Ice and Fire books though ...)

They are called Seven Kingdoms because they used to be seven before Aegon's conquest. The Riverlands and the Iron Islands used to be one single kingdom, and then split into two separate ones. And after Aegon's conquest, the Crownlands (carved out of former parts of the Stormlands and Riverlands) got added, making it nine kingdoms. The name Seven Kingdoms remained, however. Btw, I think you missed Egg's last line "I hear they have great puppet shows in Dorne." Dorne is where Tanselle was going after Dunk saved her.

Baelor was wearing his son Valarr's armor, which did not fit him perfectly and was not his own combat gear. That is why his helmet crushed in his skull. The "crushed" helmet actually held the broken pieces of Baelor's skull together, allowing him to walk and talk after the fight

You asked about the battlefield in the flashback scene. It is supposed to be one of the battles from the first Blackfyre Rebellion, likely the Redgrass Field. In the third episode, Egg’s song while he was sitting up in the tree is about the Battle of Redgrass Field. You are going to hear more about that particular battle in the second season of the series, as the second short story that this series is based on reference to that battle quite a bit. That rebellion is also the reason that Flea Bottom is in worse shape than usual. There are all these wounded men hanging out there right now because the rebellion just ended and they are trying to figure out what to do next.

My new favourite fan theory is that Dunk did indeed die, but the gods resurrected him. When Thoros resurrected Beric for the first time he wasn’t trying to, he said a prayer over his body and the lord of light worked through him. Compare it to Egg’s plea for Dunk to get up. You could see Baelor’s death as the price. It’s like Dunk said maybe one day the Realm will need him. The last bit of evidence is The Maester saying Dunk is dying, that his wounds were to far gone. He is alive only because the gods willed it.
