Funny story about the routine. When I was in college, I was taking an acting class, and on the first day of class, I walked in and two girls whom I’d never met were in the front of the theater playing around. I realized quickly that they were doing “the routine,” and I was like “omg I have to be friends with them.” That was in 2005, we graduated in 2007, and to this day, we’re still friends! Friends actually brings friends together in the most beautiful ways. And I love it. 🩵

I love that for as much as Chandler resents Thanksgiving and always complains about how trouble it is, usually good things happen to him on that day. And even though there can be inconsistencies in the show, they always remember that he doesn't eat Thanksgiving food, lol.

2:37 Joey and Ross playing Twisted Metal 2. Still one of my favorite games. "That's a lot of information to get in thirty seconds." The sequence that precedes that line is probably one of the funniest scenes in the series. This might be the best Thanksgiving episode.

I was always puzzled by the producer telling the camera man to get Ross and Monica dancing when he knew they were going to stop filming before they had a chance. And if I allow myself to over think even deeper. Ross was proud of having rare knowledge of how the show is made but he didn't realise the cut to the live show would mean he and Monica weren't going to dance at Midnight. Of course none of this bothers me. I love the episode. I just can't help but scratch my head at that.

Jacques Cousteau (1910-97) was a world-famous underwater explorer and documentary filmmaker. (just for the younglings ;-)) Btw. the cleaner shrimp Jacques in "Finding Nemo" is a nod to him, there is even a joke "I shall resist" (reaction at 1:07:37) - Cousteau was part of the Résistance in WWII.

I always love the holiday episodes but I love the dynamic with Ross and Monica even more! Yeah, the fact that Rachel brought up her relationship with Ross shows that she thinks about it more than she lets on. Ross tries to move on but she doesn't even try.
