I hope you do the next one before you decide to call it quits with the series. You may enjoy them ❤️

Yess I was waiting for this One

I love the world of POTC so much! I don’t know if you read the comments, but I still want to point out a few things that are important and that I learned from reading the books: * First of all, Jack never wanted to become a pirate. Ironically and tragically, he wasn’t close to his father at first. He worked for Beckett and was responsible for delivering cargo under his orders… But one day, Jack realized that the cargo he was transporting was actually slaves. And Jack had always believed in one thing: freedom. So he freed the slaves, which enraged Beckett. It was Beckett who branded him, setting him on the path to becoming a pirate. * Secondly, the only thing I really criticize about the films is Elizabeth’s ending. She had always dreamed of being a pirate. She was fascinated by pirates when she was a child. I would have loved to see her sailing the seas while waiting for Will… * Also, I absolutely love the love story between Calypso and Davy Jones! That’s probably one of the reasons why I love the relationship between Elizabeth and Jack Sparrow so much. There are many deleted scenes that suggest Jack and Elizabeth’s relationship is a perfect reflection of the one between Calypso and Davy Jones!

Drink Up Me Hearties Yo Ho!

The audio at 35.10 is from the original Disney pirates attraction its a Nice easter egg

Ricardo B,

Had never seen it before, and the Calypso+Jones story reminds me of LadyHawke(1985), which is about two lovers separated by a curse, set in medieval times.

I'm legit jealous of people who like or even just understand this movie. It's all just incomprehensible, loud, headache-inducing nonsense to me. Basically a Michael Bay Transformers movie at sea. There's literally nothing left of the first movie's brilliance. But I guess I'm in the minority here with this opinion, which I can accept. I'm glad you enjoyed it though, Sofie, so at least one of us was having a good time with this movie. 😅

Having the inspiration for Depp’s portrayal of Jack Sparrow play Jack Sparrow’s father is just great I love this film the most But i always feel bad for James

The female chinese pirate lord is actually based on a famous real life historical pirate who transformed piracy massively

Barbossa is my fav <3

Ashley

Barbossa was my favorite part of this movie lol. Imagine telling Will and Elizabeth in the first movie that he would be the one to marry them.

Everyone who kisses Elizabeth immediately dies. Think about it: Jack and the end of the second movie, dies after kissing Elizabeth. Sao Feng kisses her, dies immediately. Norrington as well. (love him) And then Will at the end married her, then kissed her and died shortly after. Seriously, her kisses are cursed! 😨 I'm just glad she and Barbossa never kissed. 😂

Beckett walking in slow motion as the ship around him gets destroyed is one of the greatest shots in cinema history. Absolutely epic. It's interesting that his character is getting the most epic ending. He was terrific.

The OST in this is just crazy🔥 And the way Elizabeth founds out her Dad is dead😢

"I can't keep up with this movie"... Yeah I think this is a movie requiring several watch-throughs. I've seen it probably a dozen times and I am not sure yet I have figured out all intricacies.

I don't understand how the women in the flying dutchman captain relationship - in this case Elizabeth - can't just join the crew.
