Hey guys,

I hate doing this, but there will be a one-day delay on the scheduled content. My Mac has been slowing down for a while, but today it reached the point where it's becoming a nightmare to edit on. Programs keep freezing, taking forever to load, and the whole thing is struggling to keep up.

The good news is that I'm getting a new Mac tomorrow, so once I get everything set up I'll finish the edits and get the delayed content posted.

Believe me, a lot of the delays over the past few weeks have actually been caused by how much my current Mac has been struggling. I've been trying to push through it, but it's gotten to the point where even simple tasks are taking far longer than they should. Hopefully, once the new setup is ready, things will run much smoother and delays like this will be far less common.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for being patient with me. ❤️

Damn. I thought Macs don't really slow down overtime.

Not really 😅 but I bought the M2 with 8 GB of RAM years ago and my workflow has grown a lot since then. I’ve basically outgrown the machine at this point.

Ricardo B,

The 8gb might not be enough for vídeo editing. Better get one with 16gb or more

Hate to be that guy but... if you switched to Linux you could keep your old Mac and it would even probably perform better than a new Mac. But I know it's not an easy switch for many people. Also, don't worry about the schedule. As long as you're surviving this canicule, everything's okay 😂

would love to see you react to the movie 'No Country for Old Men'

It's always worth the wait :)

"probably perform better than a new Mac" I don't know about that. That's a bold claim. There's also separate learning curve with Linux in general, but also the video editors like OpenShot, Kdenlive, etc. Alsa/PulseAudio might have issues with the separate mic, too, esp if it's uncommon hardware (even if you only need fix it once, and it works). — I used (had installed) Arch for ~10 years.
