Frankie

this movie has been a favorite of mine since i was a kid. so excited to watch your reaction!

Dannielle

I truly think Danielle in that dress, with the makeup and the wings is the most beautiful anyone has looked in a movie. Absolutely breathtaking.

Jaqueline is from another show you’ve seen, called The Last of Us, season 1. She’s a lot younger here, but she plays that one lady lol sorry it’s been awhile since I’ve seen it, but episodes 4/5, she’s the leader lady from that city.

Shannon

This is a perfect movie, and Danielle was such a role model for me as a little girl. 🥹 Thank you so much for doing this one; I loved your reaction! 🖤

Nina

Anjelica Huston is absolutely brilliant in the role of stepmother Rodmilla. She's such a fleshed out character.

I believe Danielles father was a wealthy land owner but not nobility, the evil stepmother was a baroness so her and her daughters have noble blood. Danielle added comtess to her mothers name she made that part up, she isn't nobility by blood hence the whole 'you're a commoner' thing

Yeah, that's Drew Barrymore. As someone who was a teenager in the 20's and a young adult in the early 2000's, I think it's safe to say that just about everyone around my age thought she was gorgeous. She still is very attractive.

Because of this movie, I started the tradition to wave at the window, or on the porch, or wherever they can see, goodbye to anyone leaving. My kids are 13/15, and they still do it, we all still do it to this day. If we’re awake and home that is. One of my favorite parts of this movie.

Great reaction as always Sofie, but this was one of my favorites of yours so far. Definitely the best Cinderella adaptation, I watch it at least once a year. This and Pride and Prejudice, the 2005 one.

This is the best Cinderella adaption, this completely trumps the live action version too. And I do like that one but I have a lot of problems with it. I will always have a soft spot for the animated version. I think my favorite aspect with that one that no other adaption has done is, aside from when she finally goes to the ball you never see her outside of the house. You don't see her interact with anyone else or going into town. So, you have to assume she never leaves and doesn't really know the outside world. Which would explain why she wouldn't try to leave. That's a flaw that the character gets a lot, is why would she stay and take all that abuse? And for me, it makes sense why she wouldn't even think about leaving and not to mention she was conditioned to serve them. But back to this one, everything is done perfectly. I love how they made Rodmilla far my complex. It was clear there was a real fondness with her husband, you saw the hurt when they were talking about him and you see the resentment she harbored for Danielle. It's absolutely ridiculous, because of course a father is going to be more affectionate towards his daughter in his final moments, she should know this being a parent herself but it does give her more an interesting reason. That scene with her and Danielle is honestly my favorite scene in the movie, it was done so brilliantly.

Jean

I always thought her father as a merchant who bought a title of nobility and married a noblewoman to secure the title socially.

Allison

Anyone else lol when Sofie said WITCH about Angelica Houston?? She is THE witch 🐁. It also made me think we should add the Addams Family series to the comedy list. This reaction made me remember how special this movie was to me as a kid. Drew Barrymore is the perfect mix of badass and kindness. “I shall try” was a vocal stim for years ✨

Kenzie

Really enjoyed this reaction! Can't wait for the next movie!

Kenzie

Melanie Lynskey (Jacqueline), btw. Wildly underrated actress.

Zoé Turcotte

The best way to represent Cinderella ever this is my absolutely favourite live action Cinderella movie
