Brandon

I think your version of this episode could have been sped up a little, explaining why the audio sounded a little off

Jasmine Reigns

Sounded like the audio was sped up for some reason on this episode! But nonetheless, the finale is really something, keep your tissues nearby love 😮‍💨

My head canon about the white oak is that nature created a balance after lucien & marcel became upgraded originals (I’d expect white oak would maybe kill them), and klaus found it during the 7 year time skip. It’s been 12+ years since Marcel turned so a tree could’ve grown. I don’t understand why they couldn’t have just given one throwaway line about this though, to avoid creating a plot hole. Also giving extra lore to the Beast vampires, since the white oak created them it should be able to kill them

Nebulous Shooter

The entire ending is full of plot holes, unfortunately.

Have tissues and good snacks for the season finale.

The ending your reaction lmaooooooo

Lucas

Also when i see the Salvatore boarding house being turned into Hogwarts as you put it- I really chuckle a ittle bit at the fact of realizing that Damon and Elena amongst others were making out and getting hot and heavy literally everywhere over that house including this wall, in front of that fireplace etc etc hahahaha Also did you catch the significance of the fact- Klaus wore Stefan's jacket in this episode; knowing how Stefan was willing to sacrifice himself in the TVD finale; they really did this for a reason!

Brandon

There are a couple, but this one could have easily been avoided. One little line such as ‘seems nature found a balance for Marcel’ could’ve rectified the white oak plot hole. The white oak plot hole is what threw me off the most considering in season 3 there was a literal seer looking for white oak, as well as all of the witch ancestors. Klaus couldn’t have hidden it that well.

Nebulous Shooter

I might be misremembering, but wasn't Alaric immune to White Oak? I think Lucien and Marcel should be too. For me nothing beats how the entire point of dividing the Hollow and locking it into the Originals was that they cannot be killed, so the Hollow can't come back, If it was this easy to get rid of her, they would have put the essence into a random vampire and killed him off.

Brandon

Alaric was specifically created bound to Elena’s life, whereas Lucien pretty much used the same spell just added the wolf venom. The Hollow said in season 4 it would take the sacrifice of someone very powerful to get rid of her. Plus it had to be someone blood related to Hope/Klaus.

I have probably watch this episode so many times and it never hit that Hope said, 'every witch in our family' until watching this. 😭 I know that Davina is Kol wife and Marcel daughter but I love that someone outside of them referred to Davina as family. She is a Mikaelson too.
