Something Wicca This Way Comes

Sisters Prue and Piper Halliwell have recently moved into their dead grandmother's old victorian home in the San Francisco hills and when youngest, black-sheep sister Phoebe moves in with them, they discover they are descendents of an ancient Wiccan prophecy - the "Charmed Ones," the most powerful good witches.

The chemistry between the sisters 🫶🏾 I remember catching a few minutes of this show every morning while getting ready for school but never caught a full episode! I’m so excited to actually be watching it fully with you ❤️

Someone get Sofie the original versions! I hate this theme song that is not the original. I don't know if the other music in the episodes are changed though, but its just a gripe of mine! lol

Yea this is the version that’s on all the streaming platforms as far as I know. I think the story goes that they lost the rights to the music and couldn’t distribute it anymore so they created this bland new theme music for the opening credits. The only way I can think of to get the OG version is either the DVD set (Blu-ray maybe?) or somehow downloading the episodes from torrent or something. Sofie I would suggest maybe contacting other Charmed reactors like Liam Catterson or maybe JustArvin since they have been able to get the OG versions of the episodes

My excitement for this is beyond!

That explains so much. Haven't watched this in 10-15yrs and thought I somehow forgot about the theme song changing after the first season or something. It's very bland here, I don't like it on first listen at all and gotta go find the original which I can hardly remember now.

Omg I’m so hyped for this 😁 next to buffy this is my favourite comfort show of all time! Your gonna love it sofie

The original song they used was “How Soon is Now?” by Love Spit Love, which is a cover of the original by the Smiths. I think this version was actually recorded for The Craft movie. It’s been covered by others since then, like the t.A.T.u. version or the version they used for The Crown season 4 trailer lol

SoFie, you are correct Holly Marie Hombs (Piper) later played Aria's mom on Pretty Little Liars! Piper is my favorite sister! I love this show! It is campy and the visual effect leave much to be desired, but what can you expect from a 1990's TV show! The oldest sister, Prue (Shannen Doherty), is an actress from 90210. The youngest, Phoebe ( Alyssa Milano) was in Who's the Boss as a kid! The sisters' powers are cool! This is one of my favorite comfort shows! Thanks for reacting to Charmed, SoFie! I am really looking forward to taking this journey with you!

I know someone brought up the theme song was changed, but also, they did not renew the rights to any music used in the original show 😩 Now all of the music used is random copyright free music and most of it is so bad and doesn’t fit the scene. So, Sofie, please watch with that in mind bc I know how much you love how music contributes to a show. Also, fun fact, a lot of the moments between the sisters are improvised. The actors added a lot of their own relationship dynamic into the show. I think that’s what makes it so genuine and special. You’ll recognize it more and more as you watch the show. Super excited to watch along with you!

Something to look into Sofie as others have said, if you can somehow get the DVD version it will greatly enhance your experience of this show as ALL the music has been swapped out for copyright free garbage on the streaming version. Not just the theme tune. Every piece of music used in any episode throughout the entire series except for 5 occasions has been replaced with something inferior. I think it really detracts from the original viewing experience. So sad.
