Love the man on the street interviews in this episode - they really cover every angle of looking at the Dollhouse as a concept, and leave you with a lot of thoughts and questions. The reason you originally suspected Paul's neighbor of being an active was off - the surveillance tap is in Paul's own apartment, possibly left there by Victor when he was there as Anton Lubov. But she was also there to keep an eye on him.

Sofie - they purposely showed Topher (the programmer) leaving the imprint unattended while he was talking with Boyd... which is when the corruption of the imprint would have happened.. 😏

This episode, to me, is where the show really starts to show off one of the things science fiction does so well - start with a premise about a hypothetical future, and then explore all of the moral and logical consequences of that premise.

I love this episode! And yep, this is when it really starts to get good. I'm doing a rewatch just ahead of your reactions, with my 2 daughters, and this was the episode that absolutely hooked them in.

Do you keep stopping throughout every episode of Dollhouse? It makes it hard to follow along with my own copy. I need to know before I continue watching, it's very annoying. Not you, I like your insights. But I cannot watch like that and stop and try to sync again and stop and again. If anyone can answer I, would I appreciate it. I love this show, it is so underrated, and Eliza Dushku is perfect as Echo, it really shows her acting skills.
