Finally got this bad boy! The Sony A7S III is in the house! Been waiting for it's release over a year and the order still took 6 weeks, but it is here finally! The autofocus and dynamic range on this camera is insane and it can shoot 4k 120fps without loss of quality! It is mainly meant to be a videocamera. Of course you can take great photos with it too, but this camera has only 12 megapixels which allows the fast autofocus as well as insane low light performance. As some of you may know I've been using the Sony A7R II for many years, which is more all around hybrid camera. I did all the crowdfunding videos and photos with it plus other Youtube videos, so it has served me well! I'm still keeping that purely for a photo camera as it is still a great camera with 42.2 megapixels, but the battery life and video autofocus wasn't the best and it didn't have a front facing flippy screen, so it was always a bit of hassle shooting video with it.The A7S III feels really solid and I'm right at home with it. Can't wait to start a shooting some content. I have one secret "DIY music video project" cooking, let's see what I can come up with. And of course this will be great for Patreon content! ;)

This is super exciting! Seems like a totally badass camera with killer specs, enjoy it lots and have fun! Can't wait to see what will be recorded with it! Was it already responsible for shooting the little light saber shenanigans? :)

Can't wait to see what this secret project is. Have fun Jari :)

I was very impressed by the quality (technically and creatively) of the content you came up with for the crowdfunding. I remember being as much hyped (by the crowdfunding) as I was in 1999 for the release of The Phantom Menace. That means a lot!! The difference being that I was absolutely not disappointed by Wintersun after the release 😂. The Forest Seasons being one of my favourite albums ever! It’s up there among the likes of The wall, 3 sides to every story, Sex & religion, Scene from a memory, etc. That said, a secret DIY music video 🤔, is it for an old piece of music or a new one ? Can’t wait!!!

Sony. Nothing more to say. <3

This is the best of the best ;-) I have been having a Sony hybrid since they initially released them (Sony Nex at the time) despite reflex fans bashing them at the time for their eletronic viewfinder. However, this is the Oled viewfinder which brings the ability to view the result picture, and it is a tremendous capability when doing photo, and of course video.
