Wintersun Guitar School - Jari's 2-Per String Exotic Scale (Patreon)

Scales! Who doesn't love learning and practising scales!

It is time to learn some basic scales, but with a twist! In this video Jari teaches the "Marty Friedman exotic scale" using only 2-per string patterns, like you would use the pentatonic scale normally. Which is pretty fun way to improvise and play this dark and mysterious sounding scale. Hope you enjoy the video guys!

Tabs for the scale positions and the "Kirk Hammett style lick" technique in the attachment!

p.s. If you feel like doing a quick improvisation video using this scale, don't be shy to post and share it in the forum! Pro tip: Put a long and low A note with a synth droning in the background and improvise away! Lots of delay and reverb for the guitar as well! Have fun! ;)
