Kevin B

I’m sorry, the pub definitely shows up on the geophys.

Wessex-Wyvern

We just need Norah Batty to show up now...

Michael Sperry

John: "Mick, what do you mean you want us to push-start this digger?!"

Ann Wagner

LA preservation

Richard Mercer

I,m sure Phil was here when I last saw him.

Tim Chapman

I don't know about drowned town, I feel like I drowned last night

Amanda Taub

I still think a wheelbarrow makes a more comfortable chair.

Rob Treen

So who's telling Phil his hat is buried under the spoil heap and we've lost the excavator keys??

Mika

John: well, at least the geophys did not reveal a football penalty spot this time Mick: no, but it's not exactly a Roman villa, is it Tony: On the upside, antiquarian follies are archaeology, too, right?

Paul

Tony: “You said…” Mick: “Hold on” John: “Ugh, again”

Alan reay mackay

Tony, where is Phil. John erm no idea. Mike oh no digger driver has done it again

Rosy

Mick are sure this is Roman toilet experimental archaeology is necessary? Shush Tony ,and pass John the sponge, and waft the lavender !!

Marianne Richards MSc.

That IS a stone-age axe. I said you'd gone too deep. Quick, fill it in before Helen asks if we've finished excavating the Roman floor.

Don Cook

You mean nobody noticed the building were looking/geohfyzing for/digging for ... is actually here right next to us?

Philip Nesbitt

A bit like Rosy's. 'I'm not sure that using this digger as a garderobe was a good idea Mick'.

John Lewton

I don't care what you guys say, I'm not sacrificing my jumper

Tarl Cabbot

He was a mole, and he lived in a hole.

Mea Cadwell

Why does this always happen on day 3?

KaiAy

NEW! Time Team Classic MERCH!! now you can look just like your faves - Tony, Mick & John!!! Whose gear will you wear??

Eggs Ackley

Mick: “We’re going to excavate here the deepest Anglo-Saxon ditch ever dug or my jumper ain’t striped!”

Mick Holden

Tony says, "Alright now, c'mon John, you said it would be there! So where is it?"

Ann McLeish

Mick, you didn't, did you?

Phill T

That jumper is really interfering with the geophysics

Nigel Sadler

I know we buried Stewart in their somewhere, but he appears to have got out!

Alan W McMillan

"Please tell me that is not a Starbucks cup beneath that foundation."

Conan Mills

John, you said you were certain there is a wall here.

Larissa Spiker

“We just need to add these two acres to the geophys. survey…”

Drew Lawrence

TONY (to Mick) What do you mean you accidentally buried Phil in the spoil heap? MICK Well you see Tony GATOR (to self, annoyed he has to do more geophys) They're going to ask me to find him with the geophys aren't they...

T Swift

Balls.....

Angela Sargent

Tony:Are you saying 15? Mick:no 16! John: was it really 16.... we had 16 pints last night. Oh my head!

Steve Gamester

Well there was a pub there yesterday…

Jennifer Liss

I told you to watch out for the drains.

Rodford Smith

"Well, we were bound to dig on the wrong property eventually..."

Christina Hooke

"Did you just instruct us to start a trench where you wanted your new swimming pool?"

Kerry Hennigan

Did you say the drinks are on you, John?

Russell Neilsen

I said the geophys showed a cluster, not a cloister.

Tim Walker

Are you telling me the Tea Bags are ALL now under the spoil heap?

Geoff Riley

"Maybe we can find the keys with a metal detector?"

Dave1900

Honestly, I thought there would be coffee down there...

Sławomir

"It must be post-medieval as pvc pipes weren't very common in that era."

Russell Neilsen

Tony: "John?" Mick: "That stinks. I feel sick."

Barry Jones

Tony Just what are we supposed to be looking for? MIck and John let out an audible sigh.

Shannon G

“…now that I think about it, maybe we did leave it in the pub last night…”

Chris J Price

see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil

Starla Andreas

"Always day one Tony, sheesh let them get below the top soil."

El Bo

Not another ..........

George and Louise

Really, you ordered lager at the pub last night? In a straight glass too?

Rosalind Green

Another empty trench! I don't understand it? I have got an enormous digger size magnetic anomaly. Well at lest it not raining!

John Oaks

It SHOULD be here! Right HERE!

Robin Smith

Is it time for a pint yet?

Peter Martin

I think i have made a grave error here

Shannon Wells

Ah, well, I think the geophys results are misleading, Tony.

James

Yeah, the digger was a mistake...if the GeoPhys had shown there was a perfectly preserved Roman mosaic floor, then we'd have started with the trowels...

Fauxton

I'd just set the glass down and looked away for a *second,* but in that second, it was all over. He'd drained the dram and bent its powerful spell to his whim, enlightening us all with one highly entertaining - and highly lubricated - lecture.

KL Sweet

The team have just found out the local pub has run out of beer 🍺 😳 and it was Tony's round that night

Andrew Cook

‘I guess we’ll just have to sit here and wait for the digger to arrive. Tim says it’s not too far away.’
