Let's get some new...exciting episodes in the can!

Stephen Nelson

It started with watching Time Team on YouTube. I knew I wanted to become a member.

Michael Sperry

When Tim Taylor posted that first YouTube video asking for Patreon members... I signed up right off the bat!

Ted Blank

My friend Martin in the UK got me interested decades ago. Recently he participated in the Sutton Hoo dig as a volunteer. So jealous, I’m a little too far away in Arizona to help out.

Jere Brinkley

I truly enjoy listening and learning more each segment from the troops. Thanks for the concept and making it available to us arm chair archeologists. Phil’s crudmergergery I liked the best and his enthusiasm is infectious.

Pauline R

It might have been the Time Team classic channel, actually. It was that first video post from Tim about TT possibly coming back. What an electric moment that was!

Chris Bate

Loved this and it's a 'no brsiner' to fund this brilliance!!!

Richard Mercer

As a follower of Time Team since it first started, it was a great opportunity to be more involved.

Charles Buckley

Pirated content shown on YouTube content long before the official channel

Dan Renkin

From a Google alert about Stonehenge discoveries many years ago...to finding the original run on YouTube...to heartbreak at cancellation...to learning about the new shows via Patreon. 😊

Vera Nadine Bóinn (Channel for Kosmopharos & others)

I have been eating, sleeping and breathing Time Team since 2001. I never got over the show ending, so I always kept a news alert for the phrase “time team,” but that wasn’t actually how I first found out. Since I had been binge watching old episodes on YouTube, I noticed that someone mentioned in the comments about Time Team starting their own channel and Patreon. I got in on the ground floor and I’m never leaving! 🤩❤️

Orla Levy

My children bought me my first subscription as a present because they knew how much i enjoyed it when they were young and how i have always been interested in the past. I use to take them to ruins, grand houses etc. wonderful memories 🥰 i have kept up my subscription since because it’s important and Time Team as a program is very informative in an relaxed way. Having been lucky to have been to Sutton Hoo as a volunteer, everyone is as nice as they are in the program and their enthusiasm and passion to share their knowledge is fantastic. Thank you everyone at Time Team. 😊

knut limbodal

I have followed TT since the beginning back in the day. Signed up on Patreon early on.

Celia Johnson

Was looking for something that was uplifting and not political. Love archeology. Got addicted to the old shows first about 10 years ago. Everyone seemed "real".

Martin Packer

To be honest, I don't remember: I've been a Patreon from the beginning. Perhaps someone can remind me how the early Patreons were told thus was a thing.

Sue Tweedie

Cant remember but probably watching an old episode on youtube and it came up.

Marsha Mildon

I'm a Cdn author & I've been writing a novel set in N. Coast Peru that includes an archaeological dig. I put a post on X & on Facebook asking for sites where 'good' archaeology was going on. Time Team was one of the suggestions & here I am.

Jes Hill

Followed the program since the start, loved hearing that it had been setup as a standalone entity. It's a fascinating subject free of stress and really engaging, happy to help support it's continuation.

Sophie Haeghens

I've been following Time Team for well over a 15 years now. YouTube is the place where I discovered you guys, not on your official channel, and ever since I got word you guys would have your own channel and Patreon I made the jump. Haven't looked back since.

Martin Packer

That's right, blame me Ted. Same as usual. 🤣

Pauline R

I'm in the states and might never have found TT if it weren't for Reijer Zaaijer in particular. I've considered using my entry on the banner to thank them, whoever they are. They deserve a lifetime achievement award for bringing so many new fans to TT, along with whoever decided not to make them take down their posts. I'm sure the Patreon campaign would have been much harder without them, and TT might not even have made it to relaunch!

Paul Smyth

I've been a member since the launch. I found out from the Time Team Facebook group run by Carl

VC Angell

I saw the show on a PBS a few years back and found it on YouTube

Fred Myers

Been watching for over 5 years now and it never ceases to surprise. The whole gang knows how to bring a smile even when shit sucks. x

Kev E

I go way back with Time Team to the first series on Channel 4. Love what you did and really love what you're all doing now. When I found you on YouTube a beamed a huge smile knowing you're still around/regrouped and back on it. Keep it up. As long as you're here ..so will I. Kev in Derbyshire.

Liz

I've watched Time Team since it first started, and was a supporter many years ago. I saw Patreon advertised on the YouTube showing of both old and new digs.

Frost

I have loved Time Team since discovering it in the early 2000s. I joined the Facebook "Bring Back Time Team" group and was gutted when Mick Aston died. Wherever Tim Taylor posted about Patron, on the web site or YouTube or Facebook or whatever, I jumped. No regrets. Thank you for your years of hard work to share the excitement of archaeology.

Zoe Propper

I have watched Time Team from the early days. So it was Time Team Tea Time in lockdown when patreon and membership came up. I missed out on the original TT membership era (too young to sign myself up).

Hypatia1

I never saw the original. Found old episodes on Amazon Prime, then found more on YouTube and signed up in the first year on Patreon

Dan Angelino

The a Time Team Fans fb group

Jim Cox

I think it was the Time Team YouTube channel. I watched the original on PBS, I think. I was very happy when it returned.

Joanne Kellam

I discovered Time Team on YouTube during the pandemic. Instantly hooked! I joined as soon as Patreon membership became available.

Wessex-Wyvern

I stumbled across old Time Team episodes on YouTube during the Covid lockdown. Reijer Zaaijer first, then Time Team Classic and Time Team Official with the announcements that TT was coming back. Joy oh joy! But it was a little while before I could afford the Patreon subscription.

Doug Nelson

From the USA…during Covid I started rewatching old episodes. Great way to calm down and go to sleep. When I ran out of episodes I found the reboot was going to happen and started following right away.

David Parama

I am long retired but watching your program has made me want to look for my trowel and line level again.

Mark Levine

A long time US-based fan going back to the days where I used to have find nonofficial videos online to catch up on all the old episodes. I used to be irked that there were so many seasons that weren't available on DVD or online. When the official site appeared I jumped onboard and then when Patreon memberships were offered I jumped on that too.

Sandy Meadows

I used to watch them on dish in the early 2000’s

Clare Stapleton

Watched from the beginning on TV and was over joyed to find TT again on youtube

Paul

It was a birthday present from my wife, we live near Sutton Hoo .

Suzanne Barner

Have watched Time Team for so long and bought the DVDs. I decided it was time to help fund the team I so enjoy watching.

Paul Adams

I have always been interested in archeology and especially in the UK. There is such a rich history and the effort made to understand, preserve, and protect what is found shows the importance of history. Everyone on Time Team past and present are amazing at what they bring to the show and the archeology that is being done. My favorite is Helen Geake. Her genuine excitement and enthusiasm is a pleasure to watch. Along with her ability to talk about the finds and their importance in a way so everyone can understand them is priceless. I regularly listen to the podcast with Helen and Martyn, though I wish they did more video podcasts. I am a visual learner, so seeing images of what is being discussed helps me immensely. Visiting the UK is at the top of my backlist and observing a Time Team excavation would be the thrill of a lifetime. Keep up the good work!

Lorna Dryden

A rabbit hole discovery of TT, I love Black Adder and from that found Tony and that lead me to TT, been hooked ever since 🙌🙌

Monica Foulkes

Back in the '70s I watched Time Team on Public TV out of Boston. Then during the bleak first months of Covid lockdown someone was posting old episodes on You Tube! I watched all of them 2 or 3 times, then when Tim Taylor announced he needed subscribers to start a new series of Time Team I signed up immediately. When I see Helen leading a new dig I'm right there cheering you all. I have a trowel to wave in support.

Laura Hoare

Tea time with time team via lockdown and the live streams and then I followed the updates and the launch of the Patreon etc ! So various channels

leslee hackenson

Covid! So thrilled to find an arena that provided info on a subject I was interested in and a bunch of wonderful, skilled and collaborative people working there, who quickly became friends to help me through those difficult years.

Chris Lowe

Been watching since Time Signs

Martin Packer

My Canadian friend Jim revealed to me over lunch in Oxford today that he's a Patreon. He didn't tell me how come - but it didn't surprise me.

Lee Gordon

I discovered Time Team in the US on the now defunct History Channel International, watched as many episodes as were available, and then continued to search for it online until I found it on YouTube and binge watched all the old episodes. When it was announced that they wanted to bring it back, I jumped right on board.

Wenonah

I watched all 20 years of Time Team during the COVID lockdown (on Prime video and utube). I saw a video message about joining Patreon and becoming a member. I live in the US and am interested in archeology,

A. Ott

Been watching since Europe and then in Canada via YouTube.

Kevin

Time team fan from ,not quite as far back as Time Signs but close maybe half way through first series.

Steve Rebhan

Still got my original badge from twenty yea ago

Kathleen

I learned about Time Team after I took a trip to Jersey last year. I watch the episode about Mont Orgueil Castle and have been hooked ever since. I joined so I can see new episodes. I have referred others to the show.

Matthew Byrd

Went looking for you. I've watched every episode at least 3 times and some of them more.

Ann

Over Covid got addicted to the Channel, watched all old shows and then joined Patreon.

Valerie Aston

I saw an article about the revival of Time Team in the back pages of "Radio Times. " I put he cutting away for a year or so, then found it one day and went on the web to see what it was all about. I signed up as a Patron straight away! I believe it to be a really sound decision, not only from the point of view of self-interest, but because Time Team engages with communities and is helping keep interest in archaeology alive in this increasingly unclutured country.

Jim

Pretty sure it was a 'bumper' advert in a Time Team Classic episode, but that's not an option in the poll.

Kat Likkel

Following social media. I traveled/worked in the UK during the o.g. Team, and when back in the US, have always watched the reruns, etc whenever I could find them.. I followed time team on social media, and I followed Tony as well & was delighted to hear about the re-boot. .

April Keene

I signed up as soon as it was announced on YouTube. Tim was trying to get to 1000 members! I think I’m #765!!

Jen Brandon

I've been watching Time Team right from the start, rewatching via CH4 until I found the channels. I didn't know about the Time Team channels until YouTube bunged one in on auto play, but glad they did. I've been loving the recent videos, especially Corfe Castle. I went there on a school trip when I was about 5 or 6 I think? I was raving about it so much Dad found one of those Usborne Castle books for me and that was it, I've loved history ever since.

LeahTheZebra

Used to watch Time Team with my dad growing up. Found the YT and then me and my hubby became Patreon members in April 2021 :)

Kate

Long time fan of original TT I really can't remember, but I do follow TT on social media so I assume that was it.

Pat Szastkiw

There are few things in life that live up to their initial hype but, I can honestly say that my Time Team membership has surpassed my original expectations. Well done, all!

Allye Moffatt

Original members and participants of Time Team Academy

Terry Baiko

18 YEARS AGO, MY SON WAS ENAMORED WITH BLACK ADDER. I LOOKED UP SHOW DATA AND FOUND TONY ROBINSON HAD OTHER INVOLVEMENTS. FOUND TT AND FELL IN LOVE.

Susan M Cross

Found the old episodes on you tube and watched every sinc

Elizabeth (Liz) Kidera

I'm in Illinois, and have been watching on You Tube for many many years! I'm so glad you are back.

Susan

Started watching during pandemic and you people aged 20 years in the space of 2 years. Vastly interesting show. I cried and cried when I read that Robin, Victor and Mick had died as all of you felt like family by then. And of course I do have a big crush on Phil! Susan from Virginia, USA

Artesian

I don't remember how. It became a passtime during COVID to watch YouTube and then go to Google Earth to locate the site. Sometimes it took an hour and sometime a day or so. Some sites had to be protected from rogue metal detectorists which made finding them trickier than others. I accidentally learned some of the history of the British Isles in a random painless way. In America, we have nothing to compare.

Martha Berryman

As a Cultural Anthropologist, Ret'd, I was DELIGHTED to come across that first Episode. Viewing all 20+ years repeatedly, especially those with Mick and Sir Tony and original Team. However, it's astonishing that my valiant young archaeologists of early years are, like me, getting older. The new Time Team doesn't have the wit and spirit of early Team.

Roger

My son and I used to watch TT on Channel4 immediately after Football Italia back in the 90s. Cracking viewing!

Sussie Thyssen

Originally I saw TT on History Channel. After close down I continued seing it on YouTube and saw HistoryHit programs too. And then I followed the progress in the new opstart of TT, giving econommical support

Shannon G

Have always had an interest in Archeology and similar to others began binge watching during Covid here in Canada. Then looked at the Website and decided to join after the many hours of interesting and engaging subject matter. Hopefully helping in a small way.

Theresa Crubaugh

Originally, as a 12 yr. old, I had wanted to be a paleontologist. Thor Heyerdahl's "Kon-Tiki" was the first thick book I had chosen to try to read within a two week period. (Dyslexia wasn't on the books when I went to school.) I was entranced and finished it before the two weeks ended. Then I went to psychology books i. e. Freud, Jung. My interests then turned to foreign language, then art. I ended up with a degree in Fine Art (photography concentration) 1981 and then one in Classical Latin 1989. (My roommate was an anthropology major.) I thought about getting a Master's in Archaeology and even went to talk to them about it. The clincher was I would have to take the GRE. I suck at math and my logic is never everyone else's logic. So I stopped there. Fast forward to 2020 and the pandemic. YouTube was my go to. I was able to choose what I wanted to watch. I ended up watching tons of British comedy - I get it, unlike most Americans. But I was also watching plenty of British documentaries including a few history ones. Then Time Team appeared in my feed. One click and I was hooked! - plus having Tony from Black Adder helped! I'm just glad you're back. I need intelligent programming and it fits that archaeology niche.

Geoff Riley

I was a member of the old Time Team Club (in the Channel 4 days); I got an email when the team was getting back together again. I was a member of the external club as well as the Patreon club for a while. I love being involved even in this tiny way.

Ina and Thomas

Us too. We watched every single time team dig we could find on Youtube during the pandemic. We love documentaries about history, culture and architecture. And there he was: Sir Tony and his lovely friends got us hooked. 🎣😄

Patricia Heilman

I've been watching Time Team for 15 years on a YouTube channel. Natural progression to the Time Team official channels and Patreon. I would love to see the Time Team Classics channel post all the early videos.

Ceryswyn

Long term time team fan, since the TV says. Started rewatching them on Acorn TV maybe 8 years ago, then found more of them on YouTube which is then how I found the resurrection of the team. Been on board since the early days of the new format and signed up as a patreon as soon as it began.

Elizabeth Parker

My husband and I have been watching Time Team forever. So excited to learn about all the new plans and to revisit old ones.

Melody McMath

I first saw Time team when I lived in England and loved it. I was very sorry to leave it behind. Then I saw it on YouTube one day! I’ve been watching everyday.

Vickie Betts

Saw the interviews Tim was doing on FB during Covid & was happy to support the return, even though I’m in the USA!

Matt Fiscus

I found out about Time Team back in 2013 a YouTube channel called Reijer Zaaijer was posting all 20 seasons of Time Team and 2 seasons of Time Team America. I love the banter between Tony and the archeologists/diggers and the fast pace which is unfortunately missing from Time Tea America and the newest version of Time Team.

Jennie Armstrong-Nelson

I learned about Patreon while watching a Time Team episode on YouTube. Time Team quickly became one of my favorite shows! I love learning about history and archeology, and it ticked both boxes. I'm from the USA, but have been to the UK more than once. Eventually, I wanted to support the cause.

Wendy Lambert

I love to see what was literally" under our feet" when growing up in Kent. New Zealand has been home now for many years but love to still see old Time Team episodes

Nicholas & Elizabeth Dyer

Having watched Time Team when it was on Channel 4, and being a member of the club, getting the Trench One magazines and then through lockdown watching every episode again, we were very pleased to see it being revised through Patreon, that we joined the Time Team community right at the start in December 2020. We are proud to be part of the return of such an amazing and informative program. Thank you Tim for doing it. Liz and Nick Ps we've still got our Trench One bucket hats from back in the day!

Connie L Merchant

I started watching Time Team when I discovered it on YouTube about six or seven years ago.

Fiona D

I discovered Time Team on YouTube at least 10 years ago, before the pandemic. On a third party's YT channel. I heard about Patreon membership from a new Time Team YT video, sometime during the pandemic or thereabouts.

Linda Kirkland

I've been watching YT videos for six or seven years and I love it.

Brian Heymans

I started watching old versions of Time Team during COVID, found them on YouTube. I live in North Carolina, but am a UK history fan. I am formally from South Africa, and have a UK mentality. Joined the current Time Team scenario shortly after it started up again a couple of years ago and have kept watching the gang digging up stuff since. Loved watching Stuart, John, Carenza and others aging so gracefully.....

wyswysia

I'm in the US and only discovered the show this year. I've binged the seasons and am almost completely caught up! It's soothing and interesting.

Tim Rolph

I started watching the old digs on youtube after I moved to the US in 2012. Quality was not always great, so I also watched episodes on Amazon Prime, or maybe acorn tv. I applaud the efforts by the current Team to upgrade and add old episodes to the youtube channel. I've started watching them all again.

Aidan Lees

Been a fan since series 1, almost archeological in its own way. When I lived in the UK history was all around. Love it

Gael Ferguson

Started support in the first year

Nicholas Boot

Like many...been a fan since series one..

Louise Teal

Having watched the series on C4 when I was growing up, I watched your officical Youtube channel and found out you werew coming back from there. As soon as the Patreon was announced I jumped onboard. Loving all of the behind the scenes stuff, the new episodes, as well as the originals.

LELA L CRISWELL

Not really the official channel - I watched all the original episodes and in the search for those found a commercial for the Patreon venture on the Time Team Classics Channel. Joined from Colorado USA.

Robin Horton

Having rewatched the Chanel 4 series during lockdown, found the YouTube site and signed up as soon as the Patreon site was announced.

Alan Murdock

While scrolling through u tube 5 or 6 years ago, I stumbled on it. It was the skeletons in the shed episode. I've seen every episode old and new since then.

KEVIN COOKE

I was a Time Team cadet, in the early days.

KL Sweet

I saw the ad by sir tony robinson on tv about the 2024 sutton who dig looked up on youtube and found the info about time team being back and funding via Patreon. Id watched time team avidly from the beginning on channel4 so was really happy that it was back and i could help in a small way for it to continue.

Kate Buttars

Have watched time team for years, since the beginning.

Richard Linley

YouTube discovery early in the pandemic. Probably watched most old episodes on channels other than the official TT channel. Became a Patreon supporter early on thanks largely to Tim Taylor’s urgings.

Des Bowring

Watched every season of TT when it was on C4. Strangely was only nominally interested in archaeology but I liked the format. Now I'm a huge archaeolgy enthusiast!

Edie Markhouse

YouTube in 2014, while in an extended hospital stay. I have been a history enthusiast since middle school. Time Team kept me sane.

Janice Caggiano

WATCHED ALL EPISODES OF TIME TEAM AFTER SEVERAL OPERATIONS ( 2016) LEFT ME IN A BODY SHELL = GODSENT. WHEN TIME TEAM ASKED FOR PATREONS ON YOUTUBE, I JUMPED ON IT. THANK YOU FOR KEEPING ME SANE & NOW ENTERTAINED. JANICE CAGGIANO

Elaine P

Discovered TT during COVID, and it was like discovering treasure. I believe I've watched every episode, so sad when I finished, but then randomly started looking for more things about TT and discovered it was being revived. Such a happy and exciting moment, especially when I discovered I could support the revival with a membership, and have been riding the new TT wave ever since here in Maryland, USA. Absolutely loved all the interviews that lead up to the first new episode.

Kim

It was the way to get MORE from TT!!

Carrie S

I don’t really remember for sure, but I would guess from the YT channel.

Patricia Amero

Gosh, it's been so long, I had to ponder over this question for a bit. I do know that I was here the moment that 1st smoke signal went out, and I'm in it for the long haul. Thank You, Time Team 🥰

Huw Davies

I wish Phil was back in the fold.

Chris Siegmann

I can only guess it was social media. Apart from watching lots of reruns that was all I knew existed for a while.

Kevin

My kids presenting me with a Time Team fleece as a Xmas present.

Polly Robinson

I’m betting Phil has had his share of tenting in the rain. :)

Sharon Polomé

I loved the program;. saw the announcement w/program and wanted to support the work.

Dennis Beck

I live in Pennsylvania and I became addicted to Time Team during Covid. Ran out of episodes on Amazon Prime and like any junkie got my fixes on YouTube … which lead to my Patreon Membership.

Mario Papworth

during lockdown I watched the entire channel four series on britbox then i signed up via patreon after that I bought all the channel four book s on time team from ebay

Margaret

Christmas gift from my son after listening to me go on about how much I love watching Time Team. I am envious as we don't have the history in Australia that Britain has. No gold jewellery or flint tools to find.

Melissa Rybb

Back when Tim was doing Tea Time. I was probably among the first 2,000 to join patreon.

Melissa Rybb

Hello Maryland from Cape Cod!

Peter Hawker

My certificate of membership is from May 2021. Tim was then sorting out Time Team rights and official Youtube channel. I was delayed in joining due to obligations and have since upgraded my membership level. I think I was in the first 5000 to sign on.

Claudia Lewis

I remember watching Time Team years ago and was pleasantly surprised to come across new episodes on YouTube. From there a quick search led me to the official website and membership.

Sharptooth

My son mentioned the Patreon project, at the beginning - well before any YouTube episodes. I don't know how he found out. I've was involved in Dig Village as well, but only remember being told of an intention to get something happening.

Bill Karoly

I think it was the early days when you first started your patreon and I guess it was advertise on the YouTube channel. I think? I don't remember.

Angela Armour

Watched TT when it first aired in Australia. Watched the re-runs on TV. Watched them all several times again when I found YOUTUBE. Signed up to Patreon as soon as I saw the call-up. Absolutely love TT and all the history behind the finds. 🤔 I just love history ❤️

Dean Dolloff

I watched the original shows on BBC on my cable network. Then 11 years ago someone put their home taped copies on YouTube and I was hooked all over again. I kept my eye out and found the official channel. When I saw the chance to join I begged my husband and he signed me up. We live in Montana USA

Elessa Wylde

Joined in January 2021, but darned if I can remember how I learned of the Patreon.

Craig

I joined this year because I have LOVED Time Team since 2004...... It was natural !!

Craig

I was one of the 15000 target...................

Anja Kuemski

I watched the Time Team Classics religiously (and repeatedly) on the official YouTube channel, they helped me to get through the pandemic. The membership was a chance to express my gratitude and I am very much enjoying the new episodes.

Laura Soto-Barra

We had watched TT since the first seasons, when Phil and Mick were there and the rest of the team were college students, I think! Matt was a child, we loved Raksha. We signed up to be members of Time Team Digital as soon as we saw the call-up, in December of 2020; we purchased a few items to give as Christmas presents to our son.

Janette Menhennet

I discovered Time Team in about 2008 and quickly caught up on older episodes. My youngest son was also a fan and has recently rediscovered time team. I have watched and re watched all the old and most of the new episodes. when I discovered Time Team Patreon I joined immediately. I am thrilled that Time Team is continuing because as well as being informative it provides a wonderful community for viewers as well as those involved.

Peter Hawker

Been a long time fan and Facebook follower of individuals. Tim T was discussing the idea and then launched it, so yeah, I signed up as as I could

Colin Parrish

Was the Podcast that made the connection to the Patreon membership. Felt it was worth it. Not sure the hybrid format works on the podcast, as the visuals are referenced but not seen...

Roger Mills

I joined in December 2020 as a result of the Tea Time videos having watched the series since 1994. I'm pretty sure I was in the first 1000 or very nearly.

Gill Sawyer

I watched Time Team when the programme was originally broadcast on TV. Hearing about the excavations at Sutton Hoe I then found Patreon and joined

RogerH

I watched it many years ago, but now living in holland cannot see it on tv only youtube. Nice to see many of the old faces

Georgina Morely

Been a fan for many years and was thrilled when you popped up in my Youtube feed this year. Joined as a Patreon so you could continue your amazing work.

Chrina Jarvis

I was always an avid watcher of Time Team when originally shown on TV - and was delighted to hear about the Patreon scheme which I immediately joined - and can also identify my name which I submitted to your first Flag of Fame! My every day begins with the latest episode or podcast supplied by Time Team. I absolutely love Time Team and have learned such a lot.......

Rebecca Davey

I used to tune in every week when Time Team was on TV in England - so I signed up to the Patreon scheme pretty quickly to help keep the archaeology happening. I've learned so much from the shows. Thanks for keeping going !

Leonard Peacefull

I started to watch it YouTube because I loved it be for and heard it was coming back and Sind up

Janet Hay

I had major surgery in the first COVID lockdown (pre-vaccine) and to aid my recovery, I watched Time Team from the beginning on All4. Bill Basford

Watched the TV many many years back and loved it. Keep going.

Anthony Hale

I started watching from the start in 1994 on TV. Still watch at least a ep a day on YouTube if I can, they never get old.

Sara Inkster

We rewatched Time Team throughout Covid, relying on YouTube for a lot of the episodes that weren't on Channel 4. It was our go-to feel good watching and still is. I started watching on TV about 1998 I think, when off work unwell. Hooked since then.

Melinda McGrath

I’ve been watching Time Team since its first season, having lived briefly in England from 1993 to 1997. Watching Time Team on You Tube later became my source for subsequent seasons and, eventually, becoming a supporter via Patreon. It’s even been a source of comfort following the death of my husband and fellow Time Team fan by allowing me to remember our shared love of the program. Thanks for all you’ve done and continue to do!

Don Pettit

We watched on TV for many years, and thought we had lost access to it when our channels stopped broadcasting it. It stumbled across my YouTube feed, and we were hooked again!

Charlotte

Loved watching Time Team on TV and really missed it. Found the Time Team Classics YT channel and through that the Time Team Official YT channel, so signed up straight away! :)

Carl Johnson

I honestly don't remember, but since I've only watch Time Team on YouTube, it must have been that platform.

Mike & Sharon Wright

Time Team got us through Covid lockdowns. When we saw an ad for membership, we jumped on it!

Mark

I've been watching Time Team from the beginning and fell in love with it. Nothing has changed to this day so thank you very much for the entertainment and education you've given me. Blessings on ya TT. 🙏

Kim Schlinke

I've been watching Time Team since the BBC days. I was so happy to find the YouTube channel.

Dory Vanderhoof

Discovered Time Team during Covid, while dealing with a small town that through adverse possession had taken over our families 300 year old burial ground and subsequently neglected it. Upon learning about the family history, I wanted to identify the location and recognize within the cemetery where the enslaved were buried. I ran into a brick wall with mostly white town, which had offered to its community a history that neglected to mention the time from 1685 until 1875 when it was Dutch community with 20% of the population enslaved.

Dory Vanderhoof

I discovered Time Team when trying to learn about geophysics capability in identifying burial locations. Watched every episode and joined Time Team as a donor as soon as the opportunity existed.

Barbara Blue

I went to England to archeology site at clipstone- king John's Palace with Mercian archeology. Everyone in my group has been watching Time team. I joined when I got home to the US. I have loved every piece that they have produced. Excitingly watching the educational evolution of the program. Miss Mick and Phil. Love seeing Matt and Rakshaw growing up and expanding in their roles. Love Naomi and all that she brings to the program.

Susan Van Eyck

I'd seen it mentioned in Elly Griffiths' Ruth Galloway mysteries, then happened across a few Time Team America videos on the PBS website. That lead me to search for the British version where after binging several hours of shows on YouTube I decided it was something I wanted to (and should) support.

Sue Ostergaard

Do I need to do anything after selecting one of the survey choices? I don't see a "next" or "continue" option.

Courtney Conner

I went to school part-time in the evenings to Hunter College, NYC to get my masters in Archaeology. During the pandemic I discovered Time Team and I have loved it ever since. I have also been a performer and I sensed Tony must have also been a performer. I jumped down the internet rabbit hole to see what his credentials were. I was so impressed. Now we need a "Tony America!"

Stephanie Thorson

Is it bad I don't remember? I was a postgraduate student in the UK when Time Team first started in the 1990s -- I remember watching some episodes on the tv in the university common room! I found the old episodes on Britbox and YouTube before the pandemic, and watched many with my mother while she was undergoing chemotherapy (they brought her a lot of joy). I may have seen the Patreon information on YouTube

Willow Grace

I blush to say that I have watched the entire Time Team series - all 286 episodes- seven times! I think I first heard of Time Team through the Detectorists TV program. Love both.

Rosemary Henderson

I'm not sure that my answer is entirely accurate. YouTube just started offering me episodes of the original time team - whether that was the "official' TT YT channel or not, I don't know. And so i started watching random episodes, and then realized that I could see them all right from the beginning. I think the Patreon offering happened about the time that I finished my second go-round.

Yvette Hoitink

Time Team Fans Facebook group. Carl has been instrumental in keeping the spirit of Time Team alive for all these years.

Leslie Sapp

I first heard about Time Team on one of my favorite podcasts Tides of History by Patrick Wyman. So then I watched a bunch of episodes on youtube and loved it! When they started to offer Patreon memberships on their official video channel, I became a member.

John Melka

I started as a Dr. Who fan on WTTW, public TV in Chicago. Started watching because of an ad. When it disappeared, I found old white on YouTube. After we it was strong on YouTube I learned about Patreon and subscribed. And I spent a lot of time as a kid at the Field Museum Egyptology exhibits.

SheilaBee

From the US, I never saw TT the first time around. I was introduced to TT in Feb 2014 when I was visiting London staying at the Hilton in Angel/Islington when I was sick and watched TV for three days straight. I was hooked. and have watched every episode multiple times, on You Tube. When I first heard TT was "coming back" I was so excited and when I saw the way to support you, I signed right up! TT has brought me so much pleasure over the years, may you long continue!!!!

David Biram

I joined time team after watching there shows for years on the tv. I do hope to go to sone digs, once i have transport

d m

It was during the initial drive for funding. My wife and I had 'binge' watched the show on YouTube. We both enjoyed the history and the way things were presented.

William Korleski

Watching U-Tube in the wee hours several years ago, when I happened upon an episode. By sunrise, I was hooked.

Barbara B.

As an American, I first watched Time Team episodes on an unofficial YouTube channel years ago. When the official channel came along, YouTube started recommending the videos to me and that's when I became aware that Time Team had made its return. The Patreon reminders inserted into the official videos were what pushed me to join.

ChickenHawk

Same for me, except I first started watching on Acorn.

Paul Roden

Still living it after all these years

David Blake

David Blake Dorset, I have watched Time Team from the start and was overjoyed to come across one of your new programmes online. I am now thoroughly at home with the mix of original presenters and the new ones with the amazing tech

Peter Blay

I watched time team when it was on Channel 4 with Tony presenting it

Graham Turner

Always watched TT on ch 4. Really missed it then overjoyed to pick you up again . Probably via FB but tbh can't remember..

Timithy Hall

I’ve never forgotten time team.

Garry Matthews

Watched all of the original TT series multiple times so when it returned and there was a way of more and current content i jumped at the chance of helping to make it happen. Just keep it coming thanks

Rubys Rose

Found You folks in 2000 amidst globalist damnation and death threats. With generational CPTSR from both British parents from WW2 i needed to find you.every day because i found safety, good people, fun interesting conversation and all sorts of my now beloved characters. scbeck345@gmail.com

I watched all available episodes of Time Team on Amazon Prime, then looked for it on YouTube and found out about Patreon.

Don Parks

In 2007 I watched while I was recuperating in Germany, recently I watched all I could on Amazon Prime and then on YouTube which led me to Patreon.

Drew

I once posted on social media that, in Heaven, there is a new episode of Time Team every Sunday. And here we are.

Quentin

I found you on Youtube while I was recovering from chemotherapy. That was around 2019, by 2021 I had the impression that I knew every episode. I wish there were a similar format in other european countrys.

Sitarah

Time Team came up on Youtube years ago now and being of English (Isle of Man) heritage) with a good bit of Northern European and a hint of Viking I was hooked instantly. I had been diagnosed with Vikings disease (Dupuytren's Contracture) in 2007 plus living in MN where the subject of Vikings is no stranger. Keep up the great work!

Jen Harris

I am from Victoria Australia. I love watching all the old episodes as well as the new ones as a patreon member.

John Anderson

Was watching on YouTube for years when the official came up. Joined thr patreon the first day it was announced.

Stephanie Greene

I started watching TimeTeam for years on other services (PBS streaming and Amazon) but the best content eventually seemed to be on YouTube. I’ve been meaning to become a member but final got around to it… I thought I might as well as I start my archaeology and historical preservation courses in two weeks. Thanks TimeTeam for helping me discover what I wanted to do in retirement!!!! Keep on digging!!!

Brett W Walters

A brit in Canada here and found Time Team on You Tube back in 2014-15 was stuck at home with cancer 3 years of Poison, Cut and Burn, and became a Patreon 3 years ago. Like many others Time Team got me through a very hard period. And I will support you all for as long as I am able to do so, now back to my gardening.

Barry Jones

I started watching TT on C4 around 1996 after seeing a news item. But as a pre teen, my brother and I started our own museum in the family garden/bike shed in the garden and filled it with animal bones broken pottery, glass bottles and interesting stones. So we have both had the history bug since childhood.over half of my TV recording are archeology based. And I enjoy them all.

Alayna Robins

Always been a fan, when you started up again on YouTube I was delighted. I'm delighted to be able to support you via Patreon.

Sara

Huge fan of Time Team, love watching the old digs on Youtube

Andy Grigg

I first met proto-Time Team with Time Signs many years ago and, being a geology student at the time, I was fascinated how field techniques between the two branches of science were so similar in many respects. I guess that stratigraphy is stratigraphy no matter the context. Anyway, my joy of watching the very first Time Teams a few years later was matched relatively recently by finding out that Time Team isn't just still surviving, but thriving on-line. I was planning a visit to Sutton Hoo, and was astonished to see that I'd missed Time Team being there by a matter of days. Nevertheless, I signed up straight away and now have years worth of videos to catch up on! Maybe I'll wait for those long bleak Sunday winter evenings to roll around and immerse myself in a Time Team fix, just like years before.

Angela Price

Discovered Time Team on Facebook through a post on last year's Sutton Hoo dig special. Now I've gon down the rabbit hole of the YouTube channel and have been watching all of the old shows.

Robert Este

Watched time team from the beginning and joined Patreon after a site visit to Sutton hop

N Hansen

I've been watching Time Team on YouTube for years. Long before there was an official channel. Which brings to mind a quandary I have. Any chance we can get a list of authorized channels? I love watching old shows, but there are some really janky channels showing Time Team Episodes.

Simon Orchard

Been following TT for many years, one way or another. I found out about the new Patreon fueled reboot when it was first announced on FB.

Jay Martin

YouTube is where I found you, but a friend recommended you.

JUDITH COOKE

Time Team has been an important part of my life from watching episodes on TV, purchasing the DVD sets, then joining TimeTeamFans on Facebook and following the resurgence on YouTube to joining on Patreon. The members of the Team are all fantastic people and it’s great to have opportunities to interact with them. I love being on the Flag of Fame and participating in the current programme of digs any way I can from Melbourne, Australia.

Chris Wilkins

I’ve been watching time Team since Series 1 episode 1. It never fails to draw me in and keep me watching even after many years, and after moving to a different country. My wife is now a huge fan as well. Thank you Time Team!

Karen Pietsch

First saw Time Team when selected episodes were on Acorn TV about 9 or 10 years ago. Then I found out I could view all the episodes on You Tube via other fans posts of past episodes. My daughter gave me the gift and you the gift of Patreon support. Both she and I are long time archeology nerds. We are from a small village in the west of Pennsylvania, USA.

Laila Gundersen

Was at Lindisfarne Dig Nation festival for Mick Aston, might have heard of the Patreon in the aftermath of that. PS Great festival, even if it felt a little strange gong to Lindisfarne as a Norwegians... 😉

Judith McDowell

Found out about TimeTeam when watching Rewilding Jude and Jacob Harrel’s channel. I love anything British history especially archaeology. I live in a small town in South Carolina USA.

Dorothy Frank

So long ago, I don't remember. Tim Taylor announcement, I think. Tea time with time team? U.s.a.

Ruth Alexander

YouTube recommended a TT video in about 2018 and then got a Patreon membership for Christmas in 2022. I’m from Cape Town South Africa🇿🇦❤️

Jessica Page-Thomas

I follow Time Team on facebook and saw that they were starting up again, my husband bought me a membership for my 40th birthday during covid!

Joie Grandbois

I'm in the US. It was sometime during the pandemic that I discovered the show for the first time and I binge watched every episode I could find. I fell in love with the show and reached out to a friend to tell her that I'd found this great show I thought she'd love. She of course already knew about the show and had watched it when it was on originally...after a bit of chatting she said, "Did you know that they have a Patreon and are working to bring it back?" I don't think I've signed up for anything so fast in my life!

KathyF

Kathy in Australia here. I'm with Dorothy Frank--so long ago I couldn't possibly remember!!

Annie (RubeusLeclerc)

I’ve really missed out! I’m a newbie. Came across a YT video, love Sir Tony, and I’m hooked. I’m in the US

Linda Kay Keener

I came across Time Team several years back and it took a year for me to watch them from the first until the last. Saddened to discover the loss of Mick Asten. Mick and Sir Tony Robinson made the program. Love all the members. So glad the program is back! Watching from Oak Run, California.

Dee Callow

I’ve always loved archeology, and find TT on YouTube was a dream come true. I absolutely love watching/enjoying TT. Would so love to see Phil again, my absolute favorite.

Timithy Hall

Loved Time Team when it was in production. Gutted when it ceased and continued to follow any update since then. I watched Dig Village and then noticed that there was a chance of it returning with support so I signed up as soon as I could. Love your work.

Simon Hulme KT

I live in a facinating building called ARROWE HALL in the middle of ARROWE PARK. I believe I've found as much as I can with my limited capability & equipment. But i am sure there is more to find. Also there is apparently a SAXON HALL somewhere in the area due to documents but noone is sure where it is. I would love TIME TEAM to come & fill in the holes of this area.

Simon Hulme KT

The US does miss out On archaeology as it does not have much history in itself

Simon Hulme KT

TIME TEAM is a classic! It's a shame there isn't enough history in America to make one of its own

Don Parks

I was introduced to Time Team in 2006 while in a hospital in Germany between re-deployments. Then I happened to see it on Prime, became re-addicted and joined. I live in USA.

Eric Godat

I found time team approximately 4 years in 2021. Just recovered from the house fire and began exploring You tube videos as a way to review my favorite past time in California. I had always wanted to be an archeologist, but joined the fleet and began a Pacific fleet career. I am now 110% onboard and want to explore the British fleet ships lost in all wars. This would take an approach very similar to Paul Allen's American fleet expeditions

Bertolio

I stumbled upon Time Time after going down a YouTube rabbit-hole looking for stuff about Roman-era British Isles archaeology. Must've been 2015 or thereabouts, so probably around the time the show was winding down production? I watched every episode and season, courtesy of Reijer Zaaijer's channel dedicated to Time Team. The show's an amazing resource for anyone interested in UK archaeology! I spent my childhood in rural Gloucestershire - little town called Dursley on the edge of the Costwolds escarpment - and didn't realize at the time just how much in the way of historical interest was practically on my doorstep! Uley, with its Roman temple and hillfort, is just a short bus-ride away, and Cirencester isn't all that much further. Turkdean, Standish, Frocester Court - all these Roman villa sites just around the corner. Talk about sitting on a gold mine!

Tom

I found Time Team while randomly looking at YouTube shortly after I retired. But now that YouTube makes you sign in to watch anything I won't be doing that anymore.

PaulS

Searching for historical docos... hysterical?

Tim Hagensick

I stumbled upon this on BBC on I believe the third installment of Time Team.

Rubys Rose

Joined in 2020 plandemic for an experience of well, happy and interesting character working for our truthful history and amazing finds. susan Hanson

Originally watched the BBC show on the ABC in Australia. Was happy to find it again on youtube

Marcus Crittendon

I'm sure I can't remember but I watched from the beginning with my Granny, she probably got me hooked. She loved her History.

Sue Christian

I only found out about it from an article in The Guardian in January this year. Signed up immediately.

Stephen

Same as Sue. I read the Guardian article and signed up.
