It is incredible in real life. A stunning reconstruction. Awe inspiring ❤️

Elizabeth B Hess

this is a project very much worth sponsoring. Just like Time Team's relaunch, it is inspiring to see how much of true value can be created when people come together and make it happen.

Marsha Mildon

I love every single minute about Sutton Hoo, the ship, etc... wish I lived in England to go along with Time Team, learn a bit hands on about archaeology, instead of reading, viewing...and writing my own novels about archaeological digs from Canada (novels are set in Peru ) So thank you soooooo much for all your programs from TimeTeam

Martin Young

Wonderful to see behind the scenes, and nothing prepares you for the majestic size of the longship when you see it for real. I’ll echo Elizabeth’s sentiments, a project definitely worth sponsoring!

Chrina Jarvis

Fantastic - and Meg is great! She asks intelligent questions and is genuinely interested in all of the responses! Fascinating to watch!

James Leighninger

Fascinating!! But once again, when I started the video, Meg was speaking Japanese, I think. I close out, reopen, and all is well. She speaks English! Weird how this happens. Happened 2 or 3 times before, but in Spanish! But well worth trying again!!

Christopher van Gestel

Love to hear about how the ship is coming along. One urgent request I do have...about 8 or 6 months ago certain videos from Time team are being autodubbed into Spanish audio for me, probably because Patron or you have decided that as I live in Mexico I would prefer to hear the Spanish audio. I am however fluent in English and would much rather hear the original. I have tried to adjust settings and there is no was to contact Patreon either. If anyone know how to remedy this or is Simone "in charge" read this plea. PLEASE MAKE IT STOP IK CAN NOT STAND THE OVERDUB! Thank you in advance hahahaha.

Mikael Larsson

Hi Christopher, have you tried to go to the settings in the player, the cogwheel, there you have an option, soundtrack, where you can change the language. Best of luck! Regards, Mikael

Christopher van Gestel

Hello Mikael! Thank you! With YouTube content I can always do it that way yes, but I have found that when it is a Patreon exclusive the language option is suddenly missing! Is it me! Am I missing something or do other have the same experience?

Chris

In Android you can set the language for the App in the Android setting - Apps - patreon

Alan McMillan

What do they do when they find that knot? Can they make a blug?

Alan McMillan

The amount of work involved is anazing. But slowly, the ship is coming together. Great work!

Stephen Hall

Fascinating, but I did spot some non-Saxon metric threaded studding, plate washers and nuts.

JanD

I treasure my fundraising key fob. If I lived nearby, chippings for the yard would be a treat too!

Kerry Hennigan

Thank you so much for this video tour of the Sutton Hoo ship replica project. I sponsored a rivet a couple of years ago and it's wonderful to see how the work has progressed. 👏👏👏

Mondrian Car SF aka Tegelsten

If you see it in person you will not see modern threaded anything. Not sure what you saw but its not on the ship itself.

Nigel Bell

Those clamps were magnificent... for some reason, they remind me of Manual Arts in (junior) High School. I wonder, as I write this, how much of our kit was made by our teachers. 😊

Andy Quick

I really enjoyed this. I could watch at least a few more episodes of the expert craftsmen (craftspeople!) working on the Sutton Hoo ship reconstruction. Thanks.

Rubys Rose

I would of enjoyed this fully if it weren’t for the incessant loud hammerings of the builders. I need to hear their voices better, and as a senior its most frustrating. I hope 2 has less banging going on.

Eelco Kruidenier

Very interesting. Never thought it would be so much work building a ship like that. They've been going at it for years now and seeing how much is still to be done, it will probably take a few more too. Would love to see more of this.

Anja Adam

This is truly interesting and fascinating. And now it looks like a real ship!!! I'm really impressed by the craftsmen. But sometimes I wonder how they manage to stand it all day, the noise, the cramped conditions, all those people in one place... I'd probably go crazy.

John Dickson

Epic! Thanks very much, NZ viewer, of Norse descent. Hell yeah!

John Dickson

um, nah, the sounds of actual building and activity going on absolutely makes this (just saying ;)
