This morning, Tony and Helen were LIVE on the BBC Breakfast sofa… and we wanted to share the full clip with you here.

They spoke about everything that’s been happening with Time Team recently - from the latest DNA discoveries from the Princely Burial to the fact that we’re properly back out on site and digging again.

It’s a brilliant moment for us, and one that really reflects how far things have come over the past year - from being back in the field, to building this community here with you.

We’re especially proud to be able to showcase our partnership with Operation Nightingale, who brought this particular dig to us, and to highlight the incredible work and stories behind it.

A huge thank you as well to Neil Emmanuel and Harvey Mills for their fantastic artwork and images, which helped bring the story to life.

We think Tony and Helen did brilliantly -and it’s a real reminder of what this project is all about.

And, as always, it’s only possible because of your support.

I enjoyed this breakfast interview. Yay, Time Team! We will keep it going!

That’s so exciting!! congratulations time team!! very nice presentation and explanation and it’s good to see Tony again. I’ve been keeping up so some of this seems like old news but it’s so good that other people are getting a broader exposure on mainstream TV. Maybe that’ll bring in more Patreons and maybe more digs!!

Neil Scott

Fantastic. Im going to be in Orkney when the dig is happening. I can't wait to see what is going on!

Julianne Ture

Thank you for posting this for us outside the UK!

Richard Linley

Great interview! Thanks for making it available outside the UK.

Peter Savage

I hope the publicity brings in a lot more subscribers

John Murdoch

Bet Channel Four wish they hadn't cancelled Time Team! Actually so much better because of all the extra stuff which is uploaded to YouTube, podcasts and so on. Got me interested in archaeology which I had no interest in prior to seeing Time Team on Channel Four in around 1998.

Kerry Hennigan

That was a really nice bit of promotion for Time Team. Hope it results in more Patreon members. 👍

Kristin Hartnett

Love You all! Keep up the good work. I'm a grateful member of Patreon

Gin

Agreed!!

George Roper

Fingers crossed that this excellent interview, results in thousands more Patreon subscribers for Time Team.

Gin

My thoughts exactly!

Stephanie Greene

I’m right there with you! When I was getting ready for my semi forced retirement a mentor said retire to something not from something. So there I was watching a time team episode thinking to myself to what am I going to retire… And then I looked up and it was right in front of me so now I do archaeology at a local historic home. Thanks, Time Team!!

140 Countries is absolutely amazing...

Helen is such a delight and a British National Treasure!

As with all things Time Team, wish it had been longer! But this was wonderful, great interview, and I hope this leads to more support. Was stunned to hear 140 countries are represented. Great work, and so grateful to be a part of it.

Michael O'Connor

I love how Tony redirected them to talk about TT. He's a pro.

Janie Waters

Great exposure for Time Team. Wish it had been a longer segment, but it all helps. The more new members, the more excavations. Wheee :)

It is good to see and hear Tony and Helen.

Eggs Ackley

Wonderful interview. A bit disconcerting to see Helen wearing make-up (a TV studio requirement surely) after all these years. 👍😃

Barry

If only I could watch the podcasts. I'm a paid up Digger member. But once again this year, I'm locked out and not able to listen. I've message Time team, but can't get any helpful information. I won't be taking a subscription next year as I'm fed up with the situation that I'm having to put up with. .please help me admin.

Martyn Williams

Hi Barry, I'm sorry to hear you're having problems. I will message you privately to try and help sort out the issues you're having. Podcast episodes are now available to members at all levels so you should be able to watch/listen here on Patreon.

janet Brookes

I’ve watched time team since it first aired, never missed an episode. Was great to see Tony and Helen. Great interview.

Kate

Or maybe she just felt like wearing make up that day. Or maybe she wears makeup when she is not on digs.
