Day 7 begins with plenty of questions still to answer.

As work gets underway on site, Dani catches up with Site Co-Director Nick Card in the trench to talk about the latest discoveries. More stones are continuing to emerge from the circular feature first identified by John's geophysics survey, but what they represent is still open to interpretation.

With every trowel scrape, new clues appear and we're still scratching our heads as we try to decipher the archaeology emerging before us. Join us at the start of another fascinating day at the Ness of Brodgar.

TjmeTeam is good But you are starting to become almost daily Too much?

simon munro

I WAS HOPING IT WAS THE EARLIEST STONE CIRCLE IN SCOTLAN,BUT IT LOOKS FAR TOO SHALLOW TO BE THAT .

Ann Radmore

I just love these little snippets. Interesting and takes you to the place and all in 3 or 4 mins. Thank you

Nigel Sadler

I love Dani's gentle interrogations! ❤️

Bob Greaves

Yes; I've no doubt she knows all the answers already, but we untrained observers need someone to explain and put it in plain language.

Bob Greaves

Personally, I'm enjoying the short snippets. I find it easier to find just a couple of minutes a day to catch-up, rather than an hour or more to watch a full feature (much as I enjoy those too).

Wessex-Wyvern

Loving my daily fix of Time Team. Such a treat! Helps to mitigate against the bad news elsewhere ❤️

Alan McMillan

I don't disagree, but wondered if it puts people off?

JessieB

Very informative, thank you - and not a single mention of beer 👍

Gill Sawyer

I'm really enjoying the daily updates, it makes me feel as if I'm part of the dig.

Dr R

“Day 2 and the team are completely befuddled by the appearance of a large capital letter ‘H’ in the centre of the circular stone feature” 👷🏽👷🏻‍♂️🚁

Mark & Jill Jefson

YEAH! Dani is back! Love the updates. Please keep them coming. It is like having friends drop by for a cuppa and chatting about things other than politics. Would anyone like another scone?

Edward Rooks

It's always a pleasure to see Dani on the job. She is both an amazing archaeologist and presenter.

Gin

It brings me such joy to check my phone and see notifications from my Patreon Time Team account! Brilliant to see Dani! I have missed her. Looking forward to more on the daily! Thank you🪏

JUDITH COOKE

Love the close up. I feel as if I am kneeling in the trench with both of you. Thanks for the update.

Sherryl Whitehead

Nick mentioned different coloured soils are the team collecting samples for testing with Cicely?

TimeTeamOfficial

Hi Alan, thanks for your feedback. As we are currently on a live dig in Scotland, we try to keep everyone up to date with our progress. We will space out the content again once we have left the site.

Alan McMillan

J am not trying to chase you away! I just wondered if you wre going for overkill. Thank uou for replying to me.

Yvette Hoitink

you can mute the notifications if you think it is too much. For many of us, this makes us feel part of the team that we're supporting!

Alan McMillan

Yes, I do too But I wondered if if it was overkill.

Rebecca Clark

Loving seeing these daily updates. Thanks to Dani and the long term Ness team for sharing their expertise and thoughts on what is being discovered.

Brett W Walters

This is great, I like these little discussions, one stone and the whole "theory" can change.

Graham Stokes

Thank you for these thoughtful observations in situ.
