Time Team Returns to Sutton Hoo!

It’s not often that we return to a site for a second season of digging, but we all know just how special Sutton Hoo is!

During the summer of 2025, we returned to this incredible site for our second season of excavation. Over the past two years, we’ve been investigating the early Anglo-Saxon cemetery and exploring the origins of one of Britain’s most extraordinary archaeological sites.

With test pits in River View and trenches in Garden Field, we certainly had our work cut out for us!

We can’t wait to share this fantastic project with you. The first episode will be available right here on Patreon, early and ad-free, on 7th November at 7pm GMT!

The episode will then be released to the general public on 14th November at 7pm GMT, with new episodes following weekly as we take you through our four-week excavation, right up to the finale on 5th December.

That means plenty of brand-new Time Team archaeology to look forward to over the coming weeks!
