We’re pleased to announce that we are now offering annual membership on Patreon, which could make it even simpler to support Time Team.

You can continue to support Time Team monthly if you prefer. However, annual membership offers a few key benefits.

So why sign up?

1.  Firstly, you’ll save 10% on the standard monthly subscription, or lock in 16% (2 months free) if you sign up to an annual membership by 31st July 2021.

2.  Secondly, by making one simple transaction, you’ll avoid monthly variation in currency conversion, in addition to reducing transaction fees.

3. Finally, you’ll be helping to secure – and play a crucial role in – the ongoing future of Time Team, as we develop the new sites and create more content for you!

For existing patrons the following steps will help you switch over your pledge to annual.

Log in, hover over your profile icon in the top-right corner, and select Manage Memberships

From your Active Memberships page click Edit next to the pledge you want to change

You’ll see a familiar checkout page where you can select Annual

Click Update. Note: you’ll be charged up-front for the discounted price

New patrons, visit our Patreon page where you’ll see the option below the “Join” button of your chosen tier.

Take a look at this help centre article if you have any questions about how it works.

Thank you once again to each and every one of our Patreon members. We can't do it without you and are excited to have you on this journey with us.

Done! A much better option, thanks.

Mike W

Done. I like this option better.

Bob Pockney

A query. Does this mean Time Team will still get the same amount as with 12 monthly payments ? I don't want to save myself money if it means Time Team gets less.

Chris Palin

That's exactly what I was thinking...... The whole point is to help to fund the new digs and programmes

TimeTeamOfficial

Good question. Although we may receive slightly less in total, it will reduce out Patreon transaction fees, as well as reduce the chance of transactions getting declined by cards. Pledging for for a year rather than month-by month, also helps us budget further down the line when we know that patrons will be back us for longer too! But in the end it's up to you how you wish to support us.

Greg Davies

Done. Thanks for the option. I feel guilty for paying less, but I'm happy to switch if it helps you.

Jenny Elliott

Done, always nice to save money!

Mica McPheeters

Annual payments will actually be win-win, even with the discount. It'll make planning the budgets a lot easier for them because it'll reduce some of the risk/unreliability they've got to factor in with monthly supporters, since they can come and go.

Andrew Gledhill

Updated mine to yearly. Great way to save a few quid

Lynette Curran Nelson

Just updated mine too. Time team got me through the pandemic without losing my mind (or at least not too much of it).

bil Jeschke

Updated mine, now I save $1 each month on the US sales tax that was charged each time.

Robert P Saunders

I've joined the once a year club pennies from heaven

Helen Scott

I'm confused. I paid up front for what I thought was a year . Has things changed now?

Christopher Samuel

Oh thank you! I was considering not switching as I didn't want to short change you - it might be useful to explain that part about reducing the transaction fees in the above article too in case others have that concern.

Bob Pockney

I joined some months ago and a monthly payment was the only option. If you signed up recently then you probably had the choice of monthly or annually.

TimeTeamOfficial

Hi Helen, we have only just introduced the annual membership option yesterday, so up until now the only option has been to pay monthly. However, you can switch over using the steps above if you prefer. Many thanks

TimeTeamOfficial

Hi Helen, We'll check your account and send you a direct message to discuss - Rebecca

Monica Bertelle

If this help you better, here you are: updated to annual ! Thanks for all the education you provide on your videos.

William Hiller

I discovered Time Team at the beginning of the pandemic. Best television I've ever seen. Now I can imagine what it is like to work day in and day out with some of the finest, most intelligent people on earth. Sure, ,the finds are exciting

William Hiller

and the history fills me with wonder, but the real Time Team treasures are the Time Team people. Thank you for enrichening my life.

David Lincoln

I have watched all the original Time Team progs and am still attempting to get them all on DVD. As someone who is interested in History and geography, archaeology and IT, I would love the opportunity to get in involved in digs in areas I can get to. Long may Time Team live!

Christopher Samuel

Chalk up another conversion to annual payments! Best of luck all...

Kay Theriault

Done and done. I'm now an annual subscriber or "sustaining member" as my local NPR station would call it! :)

Beth

Done.

Dorcas Wilkins

I also have updated to annual. Thank you for the opportunity.

Wendel Ray

After years of watching Time Team it is exciting to become a patron, thank you!

Mark Cooke

It’s ok if you have the money!

Lorraine Besch

I am thrilled to be a part of TT. I have watched TT dig for finds for a long time. I believe that TT helped to develop my passion for archeology, but I had already entered the teaching profession during which I taught British Lit. I am an extreme Anglophile who has been lucky enough to have 14 visits to The British Isles under my belt. TT will have an American ‘archeologist’ with them in spirit on every 3 day mission it decides to undertake. I have learned a great deal from TT, and I am looking forward to learning much more. As I plan visit 15 to the UK, I shall be cheering you on! Go TT!!

Noblesse Oblige

Considering what an upgrade to my knowledge and appreciation of both archaeology and English history TT has given me, along with all the hours of thoroughly enjoyable time with the gang, upgrading was a no-brainer. Eagerly looking forward to more of everything I love about the show (although I'll be missing Phil and Tony)!

bart sikkes

yeah, that is perhaps a nice idea if you are looking for some content, running through the popular archaeology news of the past month / half year. although it might be too much speculation ...
