Time Team Transporter, or T3 for short.

SUSAN NASH

Arkie ( short for archeology)😀

Chaff100

Per Ardua Ad Aston

Brian Morgan

succubus (a bit naughty for Time Team, I suppose. Still funny though!)

Brian Morgan

Phoebus (Greek sun god, works with the logo perhaps?)

sue capps

The Time Traveller Controller

Brian Morgan

nimbus (an emanation of light surrounding a saint or deity. Again, it sort of refers to the Time Team logo? Maybe?)

James Leighninger

Second vote for Time Machine….or Tim’s Time Machine?

Helen Scott

The flux compasator bad spelling but the thing that was in the car in back to the future :-)

Trish Murphy

Astonmobile, Aston-Mobile or Aston Mobile

Elizabeth Howell

Liminal Lorry (Referring to anthropological and archaeological studies of liminal spaces, especially in the Neolithic.)

Dinah Sanders

Beat me there by 5 minutes, Craig! Yes to Victor am Bus!

Daniel Gower

Or maybe “The Aston Villa”

Paul Tomblin

Should have watched the video first

Don Cook

REAL History Mobile Tory Thwacker

Mark Rogers

Mick's Brain. It's a nerve centre, and much could be learnt inside it.

Craig Richardson

Thought I was clever, coming up with that. Only just noticed that you were there 20 minutes before me.

Mark Levine

I heartily agree...and the bus should get a multicolor paint job too.

That idiot Chris

Lucius Tarquinius the Superbus, just try not to get expelled from any roman sites...

Craig Richardson

As it seems that I wasn't as original with my last one as I thought I was, I'll try another; Reliant Robin (Bus(h)).

Wolfgang Zenker

"TTV Vortex" (TTV for Time Team Vehicle/Vessel, Vortex for the relatively calm area in the middle of highly dynamic action rotating around it)

Diane S Ratliff

The Pub. Since that was the usual gathering place for the Team.

Patrick Emery

The Mick Aston Memorial Winnebago

TrustyJam

The Wheels of Time

Max Hale

Time Team Traveller or TTT for short, could me made into logo.

Eggs Ackley

No very original but, “Magic Bus”

Jeff Lanam

I'm not sure about the name, but it should be painted like a Viking longship.

MirrorKhaos

Spirit of Mick Questions Rest Tim's folly Rediscovery

Mark Freestone

The Aston (as in Mick, or “we’re just going for a spin in the Aston”!!

Ann H

Troweler? Dig Buggy?

Anne Holley-Hime

Trowler (as in “We’ll use Trowler to get us to the dig site.”

Ann H

A trowel hood ornament instead of a dragon/serpent.

Clive Hobbs

Has to be honour of Mick Aston, how about the Mad Professor in honour of his hair

Simon Roberts

The Ambrus express. Victor is sadly missed. His drawings were an integral part of Time Team. I love them and always enjoyed looking for the dog he always put in them.

Robert Boudreau

Time Team Traveler, Time Traveler, Time Team Machine or Time Machine. I think it's name should reflect the Team, not any one person. It has always been a team of people working together after all.

Richard Stedall

Mick, Mick's Bus, Aston's Automobile ... something that remembers Mick

Elizabeth Perry

And the wheels of time go round and round... Etc.... All day long/all through the town (depending on your version ) The people in the dig go scrape, scrape, scrape, etc... All day long

Keith Jackson

Agreed. Calling it Mick Aston would be a constant reminder of him and his legacy.

Jo Manclus

The Time Machine (apologies for snaffling to HG Wells' title!)

Jonathan A. Thomas

Bucephalus? Just sprang to mind... I can probably do better...

Louise

The time traveler

Brian Morgan

I'd have been disappointed if no one had suggested this. :)

Brian Morgan

Cursus clabularis: Roman Wagon. Top made of cloth. Four wheels. Drawn by oxen, mules or horses. Use: Transportation of military equipment. I see some potential fun with the use of the word ‘cursus’ but perhaps it’s just me. :)

Brian Morgan

Yes. Every episode seemed to start and end at the pub.

Brian Morgan

The Stripey bus. You could paint it up with some retro-hippy colours. In honour of that famous sweater (jumper).

Pauline Guest

The Time Troweler (I didn't read the other comments yet, but that just popped into my head)

Hypatia1

Aston cavo carrum (iffy Latin for dig wagon!)

Rita Baker

oh and another one - Dig Bus

Sarah Holloway

The Victor and Mick Time Team machine

Kevin

The Traveling Trench

Heidi Howell

I, d like it to be called Scooter 👍

Steve Mikre

Mick's Magical Mystery Machine...

Lesley Swann

I think Mictor - in honor of the late Mick Aston and Victor Ambrus.

Pat Szastkiw

No matter what it’s called, it should have a stripey jumper panel and a Victor’s drawing panel somewhere on it.

Jana

I thought also of Mictor! :-)

Susie Stockton-Link

I like previous suggestions: Time Team Machine and Digmobile. I also like Digbus. I can just hear Mick saying that... Aston Martini doesn't really cut it..

Pat Szastkiw

Time Ship …and have Victor’s Sutton Hoo ship drawing on the side of the bus

Chuck Letourneau

Surely you must name it the Dig-b (for dig-bus) and pronounce it "Digby".

amasulem

Tempus Flyer, or Tempus Fugit

Rachel Greenham

Trowling Trowling Trowling … The Trowelmobile.

Suze

Time Traveller

Jon Colcord

‘The Mick’ and what everyone else already said. 100% has to be in honor of Mick, and perhaps should be similarly striped as well.

Conway

Chronos Cruiser (I like a bit of ritual)

Jannine Kimber

Archibald Oliver Bus ie Archie Ollie Bus. Too obvious?

Charlie

Bussy McBusface

Jess

Time team machine!

Jess

Oh I like!

Alan

Tempus Tour Bus

Christopher Samuel

As I suggested on Twitter this morning: The AstonMobile. As in "Quick, Matt! To the AstonMobile!" :-)

Dennis Wert

I agree with a name which will memorialize The Good Professor. Maybe somethinglike the “Aston Express”

Jessie Doherty

I like so many suggestions so far! Here’s mine: Astonbus Pitmobile

Geoff Lusk

I think it should honor Mick Aston. Maybe the Aston Mobile.

Geoff Lusk

Maybe paint it like one of Mick‘s fuzzy jumpers.

S D

The Stripey Jumper (someone on the fan page did a great version with lots of stripes - that SHOULD be the paint scheme.) Also suggesting Dusty, the Rolling Trowel, . and the catering truck or the loos should be called the Test Pit Stop.

MishaFox

Im in the mood for something more Dramatic - Leviathan!

MishaFox

Or RMS Olympic - my favorite old ship

A Bleese

I agree with all those who've said that it must honour Mick Aston - the Aston Autobus? That's as close to getting Ambrus into the name as I could manage, too.

John L

Time Team Tea Trolley

Andrew Ratcliffe

Keep it simple, keep it true...the Mick Aston.

Mark Lund

I had Digby too. Digby digbus.

wich

The Aston Ambler? Oh, and definitely agreed on the stripy jumper theme.

Simon Beal

Vanguard (or Time Waits for No Van)

Dur-Dan

Mick the rig

Kathryn

How about “Tempus” or “Tem[bus]”? Tempus is Latin for time, and you could make the “p” stylized a bit so it can also look sort of like a “b”, so that it is sort of like “Time Bus”.

sigterm

E.M.M.A. = Ex Memoriam Mick Aston

Antony Chapman

Some reference to Mick Aston. The bus should be painted in the colours of his many-coloured sweaters.

Stephen Lambert

The Time Traveller or the Time Machine (if they haven't already been suggested)

Zoe Propper

I like the idea of a paint scheme in stripes for Mick's jumpers. Just watching Turkdean part 2, how about Tempus Grex if the Roman experts can agree on the Latin for Team now 😁 I was thinking of Tem(p)bus Grex, but according to Google translate Tembus is Indonesian for translucent.

Giles Cartmel

Surely it's got to be "a fossoribus" (or just "fossoribus")... latin for "diggers", but has the play on "bus" too. :)

Daniel Defoe

The Digger Driver The Archaeologist Auto The Trowel Transport The Finds Phaeton

Paul Smyth

I'm with everyone else suggesting something relating to Mick Aston.

Tim

The (Unofficial) Royal Archaeology Bus Baldrick (or Robinson, or Aston)

Tom Lindeboom

“Timeless” or “Timeless Express“.

Karen Opitz

The Chronomobile The Omnitempus Quadriga

I think Omnibus is a good start, given that it is a literal omnibus, but also a bus funded by everyone

Peter Tricker

David Ferguson

I would call it Phil for my favorite Digger

Eddie Eggerts

"Dunno" or Dunno Yet. As Mick said I don´t know.

Mark Grisham

There was a lot of trawlers where I grew up, and that inspired me to think of the Troweller.

Mark Grisham

Ooh, so similar to my idea, the 'Troweller'

Diana Patterson

Timelee, where Lee is a place of shelter, from the sea, from the wind.

Mark Grisham

I think the Time Machine is catchy

Mark Cooke

Trench1 as can never find anything in it.

Mark Cooke

Round house as it's not round and isn't a house!

Mark Cooke

Yes I had time on my hands

Elise Norwood

I like your suggestion of "Troweller"!

Helen Thompson

How about Sir Tony, in honour of Tony Robinson.

Helen Thompson

Another idea that has just come to mind, and happens to be my favourite, would be Mick Aston after the man whose brain child Time Team was. Without the late Mick Aston, Time Team wouldn’t have existed.

Noblesse Oblige

Tim Taylor's Time Team Archaeological Research Digs Is Stylin' Or TTTTARDIS which most people will shorten to T4ARDIS which is usually pronounced "T' Ford? Dis?"

Chris Weaver

I would like to vote for The Mickmobile
