Just another quick preview of the beautiful English countryside today, before we get properly underway with the archaeology tomorrow.

The drones have been up in the sky over Oxfordshire and we'll have the first model to share with you in the morning (UK time), before heading out for Site Walkabouts and preparing our first Spoil Heap Q&A.

Thanks again from all team, and we'll see you soon!

It's going to be a good weekend 🤠

Ann Wagner

Beautiful weather! I hope it holds. Happy delving!

Mieke Kemper

I have high hopes for this site! Cant wait to see what's hidden in the dirt.

Elise Norwood

Three cheers for Time Team! And sweet to see baby drone coming home to Papa.

Twenty yearsTT is imbedded in my heart & mind, my recent + plus years' binges, repeatedly enjoying your most marvelous teamwork, scholarship and comedy: Then & since, taking PhDs: Mick and Tim, Phil, our consummate Helen G., THE Tony, Stewart & John, Henry, ceremonial Francis, Robin, Carenza, handsome Matt, Raksha, Terry, Victor as ever, Bridget, Raysan, Ian B, Ian P., Alice, Latin sophisticate Guy D', Jackie's bones, Mick the Dig, Paul's pots, and the red-head quiet lady, B_?__ always deep in her trench finding good things--all of you and others populate my own remembered field ANTHROPOLOGY, as I just tune in to TT in the background, wishing I had "known you when," or immigrated in 1990s, another grad student to UK to team with you! I miss you all, glad you're on record. When I am irritated by these "lead-up snippets" I just turn the dial back to Tony's or Alice's histories of Britain, or Francis checking the ceremonial Truths of Britain. Look forward to enjoy new faces but the old ones are in my heart. Martha in Blue Skies Texas

For some reason I was waiting for an explosion when the drone hit the ground 😂

Lee Olver

Didn’t know Dig Two started tomorrow! I assumed some time in October. So excited!

Jen Swan

Can’t wait

Paul Brekke

This is going to be another great weekend! Really looking forward to the behind the "live" behind the scenes footage! Hope you've fixed the sound/microphone problems from the previous dig; in some videos, it was very hard to hear what people were saying. Tip: Have a look at the RØDE Wireless Go II mic system if you're filming with mirrorless or DSLR cameras for the BTS stuff - they're surprisingly good, and noise/wind resistant, too :)

Nick Butt

The weather forecast is looking kind again for the 2nd dig.

Jude Edling

Here's hoping for good weather, safe digging, intriguing finds, big pictures, brilliant geophys and some good answers and better questions.

Kay Theriault

I'm so excited to see more TT archaeological appetizers for the upcoming dig! It just gets me more excited to see the finished episodes and all the friendly faces I've gotten acquainted with over the past 1.75 years since I discovered TT by accident during the pandemic induced work-from-home...I've watched and learned a great deal! Can't wait to learn more!

Robert Boudreau

In the first shot it looked like Henry's already hard at it! Looks like it's going to be good weather too. Go Team!

Markus Bauer

It is so great to have these insights! Can't wait to see the videos over the next days and of course the final episodes! Have a great weekend with a lot of fun and hopefully a lot of TT luck!

Delaine Keenum

I’m really looking forward to this dig and what all you will find out about the villa! I enjoyed the the behind the scenes videos from Dig 1 and hope we’ll get even more during this dig.

Leah Kotok

Just in time for my birthday! Can't wait!

Christopher

I fell like my 5 year old self again, waiting for Christmas.

Priscilla Logan

Looking forward to new objects and seeing what the team is up to. Good luck 👍

David Boon

Cold, wet and windy in Tasmania. A perfect weekend for watching the dig videos.

Fern Wilcox

Can't wait!!!! Have fun all you Team Timers! Cheers from Minnesota

But what about naming the drone Mick....those who watched Time Team and worked on the program know how much Mick liked to get up in the air to see the site from high above.
