It's time for your next instalment of Dig Watch... as you'll see we've had some truly beautiful weather here today in Norfolk!

We've also just returned from filming a fantastic interview in the field with Gus, and some test-pitting action in the village, both of which will be coming soon.

Please keep all your comments and feedback coming in.

Steve Mikre

Despite the weather, being around old and new friends always warms your heart...❤

Richard Linley

Turning the frowns upside-down on Day 2. Classic Time Team.

LouLi

Oooh its lovely to hear things are happening, but of course they did! Good luck to Jackie's whatever it is. Hope it didn't get washed away. And that the rain helped.

Leanne Ulvang

Dropping in from drought-plagued No California, and I'm sorry if the rain is inconvenient but it is so lovely to see drops of water falling from the sky! Love these updates and hanging out with friends, old and new.

I was wondering if I could ask a question of all the Patreon's out there. (Is this allowed? TT Please delete my comment if not). My question is - If you could sit down with just ONE person from the new Time Team (from the current series 21 & 22) and have a chat with them over a beer/glass of wine in the pub? Who would it be and what would you discuss?

Simon Dixon

Any of the great team of course, but John Gater if I have to choose one! It would be great to understand the history of how he built up his GeoPhyz company as well the old TT days.

Anja Adam

Oh Lawrence... you had your chance for the Q&A questions for Jackie and you didn't take it... oh dear, oh dear

Goijaart van Dijk

Yep, that's how it's pronounced! Thanks Hilde for clarifying it :-)

Jen A

At least, in September, they don’t have to work in 40C weather, but I did worry that the ground would be hard-baked after the hot summer there. Hopefully, the rain will help but will stop at some point soon…

Anja Adam

I know, I was joking ;)

Michael Childers

I believe John discussed his work background in a Career in Ruins podcast. Many of the other Time Team members have also been interviewed. Check it out

Never fails when Time Team gets rained on , on day 2. Great to once more see Jackie and Helen there. Interested in all the remains they find. for Jackie, will there be any DNA test done on any of the bones recovered, and DNA Recorded?? Also, what happens to the remains after all testing is done?

Jon Colcord

Definitely Gater. Being “New” English, we wicked enjoy other grumpy old, like-minded sarcastic beer swillers!🍺 We would discuss fine ales of course!

Winfield E. Johnson

As much as I enjoy hearing about, and from all the razor- sharp wits on site, I miss Carenza intensely. I thought she was going to be involved in the New TT....Or was that little bit we got in the beginning all there is going to be? Just a cameo? Really?

Doug Brower

Nothing says authentic better than presenters racing after the talent, who would much rather be digging in the dirt than taking precious moments to talk to them. Congratulations on producing a tantalizing trench tour!

Laura Rash

Excellent and thoroughly intriguing!

TimeTeamOfficial

We have a lot more to come from Carenza. She has been heavily involved in our test-pitting with the local communities at both sites, so please keep a look out for that, including next weekend's coverage of the Knights Hospitaller dig.

Bron Lloyd

I love them all but I’d love to chat to Helen, Carenza, Jackie or Matt!

David Boon

Great to hear they have multiple finds in one of the trenches.

Stephen Southworth

I was smiling after watching that! Well done guys! We are in for a real treat from this site.

Zoe Propper

Great update, and to hear that there are multiple finds in Hilde's trench. Hope the site is keeping Jackie busy.

Jill Bray - Author

I realised that I hadn't replied to my own question - so here goes! I work as a surveyor - specialising in building surveys and in particular writing reports on protected (listed) buildings. So I suppose I would have to chose Stewart to chat to as, also hailing originally from Yorkshire, I think we would have a lot to discuss.

Andrew Gledhill

Love the freaky hair on that guy in the background. Archaeologists never disappoint in how they look.

Jude Edling

What a delightful chance to see a gathering of diggers and archaeologists in the wild! Usually the chats are in a cozy pub at day's end. I hope the rain helped the diggers, that ground looked miserably hard and dry. Thank you!

S. Douglas Baldwin

This was a delightful peek. Everyone seemed to be delighted in a storm. How sweet!

Kevin

, and some test-pitting action in the village, both of which will be coming soon. But where do I watch them?

niels lammers

Geboren en getogen! Hilde's English is really really good. Thanks for asking, I did wonder her Dutchness..
