It's morning of Day Two here in Oswestry and an eerie mist has descended upon the site. Is this a good or bad omen? Only time will tell, but we're making good progress and today could prove to be a pivotal one.

Here's Dani and Tim, bringing us up to date with the story so far and our hopes for the day ahead.

Also, by popular demand, keep a look out for the 2022 Flag of Fame coming later today in all its glory!

Stay with us as the action continues...

I really love these glimpses of life on the dig! I'm feeling my money is very well spent

Clive McIntyre

Knights Hospitaler appearing out of the mist and yet, just a faint echo of Monty Python at the end. Wonderful!

A lot better time team now, they include such a lot more and the insights in to the digs are great. Always been a time team nut but the new ones contain a lot more and they don't have a crazy presenter running around like a headless chicken not having a clue getting in everyones way. It looks a lot more professional and the team seem to be having a great time and it shows with the enthusiasm they are showing and giving us. Great work people. ;-)

David Boon

Really exciting to see where things are at so early in the dig.

Jon Colcord

In defense of Sir Tony, he is a very smart man, and I miss his “headless” energy. Once he learned something, he never forgot it, and he was very intuitive on Time Team. Just yesterday I rewatched the episode where he spotted the parch marks for a Roman road in Bath near the Crescent. He was dead on. I Miss his showmanship, but have quickly become a fan of Gus and his amazement at everything coming out of the ground.

Jon Colcord

You just know they will be using those visuals in the final episode! Looking forward to that!

Michael Taylor

Just brilliant to see behind the armour. Thanks for sharing!

Michael O'Connor

You got the whole package with Tony. His job was to ask questions that newer watchers would want to know and to keep the archaeologists forthcoming with their thoughts. Yeah, it got cringy at times, but he kept things from being too sleepy.

Graham Stokes

Tantalizing already, and we know the mists will clear.

Gretchen M Root

Also, remember that those were scripted. He wouldn't have done that if the Director hadn't wanted it.

Eggs Ackley

I’ll be listening for the sound of coconuts🧉🧉knocking together!

Robert Wise

What, did someone say something? I was totally caught up in gazing at that tree in awe!

Rich Panzarino

I obsoletely love all the behind the scenes content. Keep up the great work. I LOVE IT!!!

James Lee-Pevenhull

Sir Ralph Lee AKA Sir Pevenhull ( where he was born ) went on the Eighth cruade in 1256/57. The Knights Hospitalers aided the Genoese. The major cause of death was dysentery. Also there was Philip II de Montfort, whose father was cousin of Simon de Montfort d. Evesham, Worcestershire 1265.
